My name is Erin and I live in a suburb of Cleveland Park, Brook Park, Ohio in the United States. Currently, I would say there is a very eclectic group of followers in my town, but at least they’re following the Lord!
I became saved when I was about 9 years old and baptized when I was 11. In high school,  I ended up straying away from the church and the Lord. I got into drugs and if it wasn’t for the Lord and me calling on Him, I wouldn’t have gotten clean. I finally feel like that amazing Christian that has been blessed with the new heart from God. I can’t even explain what a great feeling it is!
When coming back to church one of my Pastor’s had me take a spiritual gifts test. I had never even heard of this before, but it sounded so exciting! He wasn’t surprised at all when he saw my results. My number one spiritual gift is administration, not far behind is exhortation, teaching, and showing mercy. Those were all a tie actually. But it made sense because my ministry dream is to one day be the Women’s Ministry Director at my church or one of the Women’s Ministry Leaders.
This class has strengthened my walk with God because it has shown me how I should be devoting myself to Him every day and that church once a week is not enough. To think that church once a week is enough is kind of silly now that I’ve taken this class.
As much as I want this next answer to be an evangelist, I would identify with the word, small group leader most right now because I know that I am a natural born leader and I am capable of leading a small group.
I can’t really explain a key experience in my life that prompted me to pursue ministry. I feel like the Lord wants me to be pursuing ministry so that is what I’m going to do. It makes me feel safe and comfortable so I’m going to keep myself in this type of environment.
Connecting to the Bible only stirs up more passion inside me to want to get into Women’s Ministry. It makes me feel like it’s where I’m supposed to be and fills my soul with joy.
My local church and my family are very supportive of my ministry calling and going to CLI. My fiancé is very excited about it and I wouldn’t expect anything less from him.
A scholarship at CLI is so important to me for my ministry dream because I don’t have a lot of money and I’ve wanted to go to school so badly but couldn’t afford it and didn’t want the debt. This amazing opportunity keeps me from going into debt because I’ll have the scholarship and I’ll be able to finally go into Women’s Ministry like I’ve wanted to. It feels like it is so meant to be that you have a Women’s Ministry track and this opportunity available. It is such a blessing.
You can please pray that I don’t get overwhelmed with everything going on in my life and that I stay healthy.
