Roderick Fowler –
“I live in the United States and I have been called to be a Pastor by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I came to Christ at a early age being raised southern baptist, but I did not know what it really meant to be saved until a few years ago when I retired from the my worldly employer in 2008 after surviving three heart attacks, a double bi-pass surgery, two episodes of blood clots that should have killed me but I was Spared by God grace to finish my real life work to lead others to Christ.
“My dream is to carry out the great commission and share the Good News with as many people as I can before I am called home to be in the presence of our Savior, I can Identify with being Pastor because I teach Bible study classes and Discipleship courses in my Church that bring me Great Joy to see others learn of Christ. I want to be a Pastor because not only is it my calling but it would help me to influence people in my community and around the world.
“The areas that I live in are becoming more depressed by the minute and People are in desperate situations and need to have a reason to have hope. My church has allowed me to practice teaching in small groups and discipleship mentoring. My mother has had a great influence in my ministry aspiration because she is a minister and has her own Christian radio Program that is aired in Chicago at WyLL Christian radio.”
Roderick Fowler Receives a Scholarship
“I am convinced that this opportunity that I may have at CLI will give me a opportunity to have my calling realized in a much shorter period as I am not as Monetarily blessed as some that might have the same calling and have the opportunity to attend seminary or some other Religious institution of Higher learning.
“I would like to ask for prayer that God will continue to bless CLI first and foremost that the seeds that are sown will continue to produce fruit for the Kingdom of God. I would also ask that I may be blessed to one day lead a flock for the Kingdom as well. In closing I want to say God bless you all for this unique and blessed opportunity.”
Roderick Fowler has known the gospel and the way of God since he was young, but for a long time it didn’t have an impact on his life. It wasn’t until Roderick Fowler survived surgeries, heart attacks, and blood clots that he responded to the call of God on his life. Now Roderick Fowler will share his story with everyone that he can, bringing many to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. In pursuit of this goal, Roderick Fowler seeks a scholarship at Christian Leaders Institute.
