Ministry Education Story

Ministry Education Story

My name is Amanda Jordan and I have a ministry education story to share. I am 23 years old and I live in a small town in Tennessee. I have a 2-year-old son and tons of animals! I feel that is necessary to say because it’s part of who I am. Before Christian Leaders Institute, I was in college for veterinary medicine. I did not graduate due to emergency situations but I feel God has something better planned for me…like CLI.

Being a Christian leader in my area, in general, is not too difficult. Of course, there is always criticism, especially when you have not always been the perfect Christian. I grew up knowing God, but my parents weren’t Christians. They decided to send me to church anyway, though. Thankfully, now they are fully devoted Christians! Praise God! I’ve always known the Lord. I can’t recall a time I didn’t. Such a thought is unfathomable really. It was later on, though, when I actually changed my life for Him.

My spiritual dream is to, first, take what I learn from CLI and become a new person in Christ. I want to be someone who practices what I preach, lives solely on the windy path of the Spirit, and says no to all temptations of this world. I want to be a better me for God. Secondly, I want to be a missionary. I want to help the poor and spread the word to those who need it. I know what it’s like to be poor and God stresses so much to help those in need. I want to make a difference in this world. I want to bring as many people to know Christ as I can!

A big event that humbled me to realize I needed a stronger relationship with Christ was my divorce. I was in an abusive marriage and my child was in extreme danger, I had to leave. Thankfully, he’s now in jail. But the Lord was and is my strength. He showed me that in Him I could and can get through it all. I called on Jesus to bring me closer to Him, and He not only did that but made me fall in love with the Word! He got me through it all safely and now blessings upon blessings have been bestowed upon me and my family! All glory to God!

Free ministry training is important to me in my ministry education story because when I first started I had just gotten laid off from my job. I’m a single mother and I really need to grow in my relationship with the Lord. I’m overjoyed that I have the opportunity to do this ministry training for free at CLI.
