My Ministry Degree Journey
My name is Tina Calhoun. I come from a tiny Georgia town in the United States. I grew up in Rhode Island but moved to Georgia as a teenager. Currently, I am a stay-at-home wife and mother to five beautiful children. My husband and I have been married for twenty-six years and have six grandchildren. Recently, my ministry degree journey led me to the Christian Leaders Institute.
My Younger Years
I didn’t have a great childhood and didn’t come from a religious family. There wasn’t much talk about Jesus at all. Throughout my childhood, I attended church only a handful of times, mainly with people outside my family. I did, however, always feel like there was something more. Something was missing, but I couldn’t figure out what it was. It wasn’t until many years after I married that I started to read random scriptures and eventually read the entire Bible repeatedly. Slowly, I became closer to God and received baptism.
My Ministry Degree Journey Led to CLI
I never felt a higher education was available for me because of finances. However, I often wished that I had a degree in ministry. Thankfully, God led me to the Christian Leaders Institute for His purpose. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to receive this ministry education. I’m finally on the right path, as God is leading me. My goal is to show people the same love, grace, and forgiveness that Jesus Christ has shown me and to help them find our Lord and Savior.
While I do not know my future, new doors open to things I once thought impossible. I am excited about my future here at the Christian Leaders Institute. I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for me!
