Hello, my name is Rachel Price. I am taking tuition-free ministry classes at the Christian Leaders Institute to prepare for whatever God calls me to do.
Born and raised in South Georgia, USA, I am married to a wonderful, loving, and godly man. Together, we have a beautiful 7-year-old son. When I was nine years old, I gave my life to Christ. At that time, I knew Jesus and God the Father. I also knew about Heaven and Hell. However, I did not know what being a Christian meant for my life.
My Journey
I was a rebellious child and teenager, and my life was filled with abuse from a very young age. Therefore, I chose to spend my teens and early 20s in rebellion. I ignored all of my convictions and disregarded my faith. After a failed engagement, I searched for love and married my best male friend. I wondered if we should marry after seeing a few “red flags.” However, I thought we could make our marriage work and that my fear was cold feet. He was a good man. We tried to make the marriage work through counseling, seminars, church, prayer, etc. However, he battled with some addictions that ultimately ended our 10-year marriage.
I felt responsible. I “knew” my rebellious past was to blame for the loss of our marriage and for being childless. Further, I felt God was punishing me as I could not accept grace.
New Beginnings
However, I began to lean on God during the end of my marriage. In a lost and dark place, God was the only “place” that felt safe for me. Then, I met a wonderful man, my now husband. While we were dating, he gave his life to Christ. Together, we built a marriage on faith, putting God at our center. Through understanding and unconditional love, my husband brought me closer to Christ. He taught me about forgiveness (forgiving myself, included) and had faith greater than a mustard seed that God would allow us to conceive a child. His faith strengthened mine.
After an encounter with what we both confess, to this day, was an angel – a stranger, a woman, approached me in a store. She laid her hands on me and asked God to bless my womb with a child. Our son was conceived five months later when I was 35. Having our son has strengthened my faith in the Lord.
Ministry Passion
My heart and passion are for women and children. I own a Cleaning Company, where I employ women from many backgrounds (abuse, addiction, and more). Therefore, I pour love and leadership into their lives. The clients we serve, we aim to show them love and compassion.
I’ve counseled pregnant and postpartum mothers since 2018. After suffering postpartum depression in 2016, I knew I didn’t want other mothers to feel so lost and alone. Our community does not offer childbirth education, breastfeeding, or postpartum education. My passion is to build a strong bond/relationship between mother and baby and to help mothers heal from past trauma. Further, I seek to assure new mothers suffering from postpartum depression that there is help and healing.
Recently, God put on my heart to pursue ministry. I am unsure how this looks at the moment. I believe it to be healing through counseling, serving, and natural medication. Healing is the gift God gave me six years ago as I was on my own journey to wellness.
Finding Tuition Free Ministry Classes at CLI
After studying the Holy Spirit in detail, I felt a tug. However, I was unsure if God really wanted me, of all people, to minister for Him. How unworthy am I? I asked God to speak to me. While reading my daily devotional, it directed me to 1 Timothy 1: 12-17. The first verse says, “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.” In awe and reverence, I cried.
Now, here I am, looking into the tuition-free ministry classes at Christian Leaders Institute and trusting God during this process. The tuition-free ministry classes are such a blessing to me. My son has neurological “gifts,” and my husband was injured in 2019. The financial responsibility and education of my son have fallen on my shoulders. God blessed my cleaning business to be able to provide for employees and my family. Admittedly, it is very tight for our family more often than not as a small business in a small town.
Thanks to the Lord, my husband was able to go back to school and get a degree. He is now on his path toward helping our family financially. But we are not out of the woods yet. This free training allows me to work towards discovering my ministry calling without worrying about finances. I am thankful to have found Christian Leaders Institute.

My Testimony and Ministry Calling
Hello, my name is Kevin Johnson from Covington, Tennessee, which is about 30 miles north of Memphis. I have lived here all of my life. I have a wonderful fiancée and two beautiful daughters. Further, I am taking biblical ministry courses at the Christian Leaders Institute.
In my childhood, I attended church until I reached the age of 17. Then, I stopped going to church altogether. However, I knew even then that I had a calling on my life for Ministry.
Jesus Saved my Life
Completely away from the church, I did not want anything to do with it or to hear anything about it. For over 20 years, I drank alcohol and did drugs. Further, I was in and out of jail and ended up homeless on the streets of Memphis, Tennessee. In 2012, I went to a church that was giving food out. A man asked me if I wanted Jesus to save me, and I said yes! That day, I asked Jesus into my heart. It changed my life forever! Jesus delivered me from alcohol, drugs, and homelessness. However, I still face obstacles growing in maturity, such as thinking I am not good enough because of my past.
Biblical Ministry Courses at CLI
I am currently in Kairos Prison Ministry. Furthermore, I am set to lead a 4-day weekend for the fall of 2024. I have preached twice in front of my church congregation. My spiritual dream is to reach people that are going through the struggles that I faced in my life.
I came across the Christian Leaders Institute looking for Biblical ministry courses that will help me in these two areas of ministry. With my work schedule, it was difficult finding something that could help me and was not expensive. Therefore, CLI is a blessing and an answered prayer. I look forward to the classes and courses Christian Leaders Institute is offering.

God is Always in the Details
I am Christina Diane, a 43-year-old EuroAfrican Latina from the USA. I am getting the Licensed Christian Wedding Officiant credential through classes at the Christian Leaders Institute and with the Christian Leaders Alliance.
My Story
Born into the Catholic Church and raised in Spanish Harlem and the Bronx, faith was not a significant topic of discussion growing up. Although I had a praying Grandmother who worked in the church, my understanding was never about having a relationship with God. I completed my confirmation and communion. But, looking back even today, I do not understand their significance.
In my family, growing up, I witnessed domestic violence, alcoholism, arguing, promiscuity, drug addiction, emotional and sexual abuse, as well as witchcraft. At home, we rarely talked about God, faith, or religion. However, I remember a particular season when I went to church on Sundays with my godfather and his wife. I also remember my mother’s beautiful oversized white Bible open in the living room. I somehow believed that Bible available and on display meant we, at the very least, invited God into our home.
However, because of all the negative things I experienced and witnessed growing up, I often felt God did not want to be with us in return. There were many seasons when life was emotionally heavy. Although today I know my family did the best they could with what they had and knew, I saw God as a punisher based on our circumstances.
Trauma
After experiencing a traumatic event at the age of 10, my understanding of God reflected my trauma. God was mean and not happy with me or my family. So, I wanted nothing to do with Him. I searched for peace and higher understanding throughout high school. Until my mid-twenties, I practiced Buddhism and sought out New Age.
During a season when I was fascinated to learn more about my ancestors, I had a detailed conversation with my Grandmother. From her, I learned we came from a lineage of women with “spiritual powers.” Fascinated then, I delved deeper into what I thought was white magic. Ultimately, God helped me understand this was a stronghold of witchcraft in my bloodline. Further, I would soon be called to become the repairer of the breach and break many generational strongholds and dark covenants.
Encounter with Christ and Spiritual Warfare
In 2008 while living in Wellington, Florida, I was introduced to Jesus for the very first time at a worship experience with LifeChurch led by Pastor Craig Groeschel. At the age of 28, I was baptized for the first time in the name of Jesus Christ. That same year and unbeknownst to me, the spiritual warfare intensified.
From 2010-2017, I often waivered in my walk with God. Looking back, I call these my seven years as a single mom and lukewarm believer. I did not have a strong community of believers around me and did not want any. My lack of understanding of the importance of the Christian community kept me in the illusion that if I could make my life look good on the outside, no one needed to know my past or my pain.
Healing and Growth
In 2017-2018, God began tugging on my heart in powerful and apparent ways. I began to read more about lasting transformation, healing, and deliverance. The Holy Spirit opened my mind, eyes, and ears in ways where I found God in the details of my story. I realized many of my breakdowns and most challenging seasons were for breakthroughs.
I rededicated myself in February 2018, three days before the massive shooting that would take place at my son’s High School in Parkland, Florida. There have been some highs and some lows. Glory be to God! The Holy Spirit walks with me daily. He reminds me not by might, not by power but by His Spirit.
My life hasn’t been perfect, but it is continuously progressing. I have experienced radical and progressive transformation over the past five years (2018-2023). God has given me revelation in so many areas of my life. I have experienced many of his promises, especially that of Romans 8:28-30 and Isaiah 61:3-7. He has revealed some of my callings and has allowed me to identify specific assignments. God has opened the door to opportunities to work and serve in ministry. Further, I have experienced healing in the most unexpected ways.
Study at CLI and Wedding Officiant Credential with CLA
Since 2019, God has called me to share my gift of writing. After procrastinating, contending, and allowing fear to keep me passive, in 2022, the Holy Spirit showed me the way. He has given me downloads and blueprints to create unique Journals, Devotionals, and Keepsakes collections. These will inspire, encourage, empower, and equip many others on their journey. Through these writing collections, I pray that many will experience the blessing of transformation and find the fruit of the Holy Spirit and God’s love in their lives.
In May of 2023, God called me to a writing ministry. He also recently gave me the vision to help engaged Christian couples create a “God in the Details Ceremony” for their special wedding day. I want to get a Christian wedding officiant credential. After some research, I aligned with the Christian Leaders Alliance pursuing my Licensed Christian Wedding Officiant credential. I am excited to begin this journey with an organization that fully empowers Christian leaders through biblical truth. I don’t know all God has in store for me, but I know I am right on time, and this is only the beginning. The best is yet to come in Jesus’ matchless and mighty name.
