Mission South Africa: Rev. Jacob Keele

Mission South Africa: South Africa student Rev. Thabo Keele ministers in a land where Christianity is the majority faith. In fact, mission South Africa is helped by the fact that the constitution of South Africa allows for the freedom of religion.

Mission South Africa is not easy. Rev. Keele writes, “This area was recently attacked by the satanic spirits. This attacks were challenges to the Body of Christ, which is the church. It is now difficult to preach the salvation gospel in this area. Some Church tents were burned to ashes and born again Christians were intimidated. This spiritual attack occurred after some key local pastors preached and performed miracles by healing people and driving out demons. Some in the community accused the born again Christian churches and their pastors of performing miracles using satanic powers.”

“This area is left with many people who don’t want to listen to the gospel that says Jesus is the Savior. My mission south Africa is now a big challenge to me to pursue Evangelism. I am on daily basis proclaiming the love of God and the power of Salvation, so that my area can be a better place once again.”

Mission South Africa: Movement of God

South Africa has been a place where Christianity is planted. Yet it has also been a place where Apartheid political policies separated races. In this backdrop, Rev Thabo Keele was born again. He writes,  “I was born again in 1988 at Student Christian Movement camp, I received a pastoral calling between 1992 and 1993.”

Rev. Keele grew in his walk quickly. Soon he received a calling to ministry. “I received a calling of preaching the word through visions” God laid on his hear to “go and spread His word to the Nations.  I established a church in Boipatong, Vanderbijlpark which was called HIGH PRAISE COVENANT.

“We are currently preaching gospel on the streets, since we do not have a place for worship. We were expelled from the public schools. My gift is a prophetic one. My dream is to make God known through Jesus Christ. “

Mission South Africa is challenging for many reasons. South Africa has been stricken by the effects of HIV spread.  Both men and woman are affected and hope and despair is common. Another mission Rev. Keel is called to called to pursue to “heal and unite the broken families and to destroy the usage of drugs in the community by the young people.” South African Youth are slow to avoid practices that bring on HIV. Click here.   Rev. Keele also leads in alleviating poverty by helping to find ways to feed people in sustainable ways.

Mission South Africa: Importance of Ministry Training

Even though Rev. Keele is ordained he has never received needed ministry training. He writes, “with the scholarship which I will receive from CHRISTIAN LEADERS INSTITUTE I will be equipped through the online study. I am currently pastoring without a formal Theological education.”

Like many tens of thousands others in our world, Ministry training was not possible. “I could not attend any theological school to enables me to study for a theological diploma.  We are stricken by severe poverty in my family.  I have 5 children and I am married to one wife. With the money I earn from one of the factories here, I can only manage to provide food, clothes and rent for our shelter since we don’t have our own house.

I’m looking forward to completing my studies and achieving my theological diploma through CLI. I know once I can study my spiritual and ministry life will be equipped so I am able to preach the gospel in a good manner and equip the saints.

Christian Leaders Institute congratulates Rev. Thabo Koole for receiving his Certificate of Christian Basics. He now proceeds for further study at Christian Leaders Institute.

Youth Ministry Casey Biederman.

Youth Ministry: God is raising up local missionaries for mission America.  Casey Biederman has finished her Christian Basics Certificate and now she is continuing her studies for more advance training at Christian Leaders Institute.

Youth Ministry is Her Next Step

Casey writes,

“I live in the United States, I want to reach out to the youth.  Our future is in the children, I want to share my testimony with youth to let them know that everyone struggles and makes bad choices, but there is redemption in God’s glorious name.”

Before youth ministry captivated Casey’s passion, she needed to be reached for Christ. Casey tells her story.

“I moved into a duplex and getting to know my neighbor we would go out fishing, he would mention God and Jesus from time to time but I didn’t think or know anything about them at the time.  He had invited me to his church.  Hesitant to go he and a friend of his bribed me into going and that day the Holy Spirit over took me.  I was praying in tongues and had no idea what had happened.  Since that moment there was a change.  I’ve held onto that relationship since the start.”

After that powerful beginning, youth ministry was placed on her heart. “I feel that I am being lead to be a worship leader for youth, to instruct them on how to worship, introduce new music and break the “stereotype” of a Christian.”

Casey and all those in youth ministry face many challenges in bringing the youth to Christ. George Barna states that “the research uncovered six significant themes why nearly three out of every five young Christians (59%) disconnect either permanently or for an extended period of time from church life after age 15.” Chick here for the story.   Youth ministry needs trained leaders like Casey to carry the torch for Christ.

Casey’s vision goes even further then working in youth ministry, she says, “I also want to preach full time, specially traveling and sharing the good news to those that don’t have God’s word at an easy access of availability.”

When asked what a scholarship means to Casey, Casey writes, “A scholarship would benefit me in learning the skills and background of a “born and raised Christian.”  I have the life experience and relationship but am lacking the Biblical theology and back ground of being raised in church. I can connect Biblical stories and scripture with current life situations.”

Cassey is on her way to being trained free of charge by the generous donors of Christian Leaders Institute.

Mission Philippines: What is it going to take to reach the Philippines for Christ? The first missionaries were sent by the Catholic Church holding their first service on Easter Sunday March 31, 1521. Eight-five percent of the country has a Catholic heritage.  In recent times, other evangelical ministries have opened in the Philippines from various denominations such as Baptist, Pentecostal and Christian Reformed.   Ministries such as Bible League have taken mission Philippines seriously.

The Efforts of these ministries and many missionaries has resulted in yielding  a new generation of leaders who need advance training. Mission Philippines needs thousands of new leaders who have advanced training.

Meet Loren Angeli Estavillo who just finished her Christian Basics Certificate. This next generation Philippino Christian leader claims,

“I know God intricately designed every fiber of my being and carefully planned out all the details of my life story, even before I came into existence 22 years ago. With that in mind, I couldn’t thank Him enough for greatly blessing me to live in the Philippines where it’s free to bask in His glory through the Christian ministry.”

Mission Philippines: Loren Angeli Estavillo

Loren did not always have it so easy…

“In my growing up years, I was accustomed of going to church with my family as a form of a weekly habit. Back then, I had no sense of what it truly means to be a Christian. But everything changed since the moment I came to know Christ. I was spiritually reborn during one of my lowest moments. I never felt so alone and helpless back then due to the fact that my parents decided to separate ways.”

Mission Philippines: God heals the broken heart

“Their estrangement negatively affected my outlook in life. I became emotionally drained and spiritually crushed as an aftermath. It seems to me that I’ve no one to turn to. Yet suddenly, I felt the love of God consuming me in a heartbeat. I was in complete awe of His glorious presence overcoming me. I didn’t have the strength to control the burst of emotions rushing through me. I tried holding it back but my tears just kept falling. I cried hard and traded all my deep-seated setbacks. I repented of my sins and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I couldn’t put into words how God transformed me into the person I am today.”

Loren was being prepared for ministry. Loren was being called to mission Philippines.

She writes, “God never gave up on me despite my weaknesses and failings. He never let me go. Because of that, I began my spiritual walk with Him. I started anew by reflecting and meditating on His Word deeper than before. I engaged myself in a church where I grew stronger spiritually by means of associating with my new found spiritual family. As I continue my walk with Him, He began to let me see the world through His eyes. He unveiled a deep surge of calling in ministry service that I couldn’t resist. I know that whatever plan He has in store for me will work out for good. So I yielded to His voice wholeheartedly and trusted Him to light my path wherever He may lead me.”

Christian Leaders Institute trains is training a new generation of leaders for mission Philippines. These Leaders are getting advanced training.

“I’m driven to help people create a genuine and lasting relationship with our Lord, to delve deeper into the Word of Truth by it’s spread across the nation, and to build a strong foundation of fellowship with God and other sharers of faith as well. I’m aware that being in the ministry requires full dedication, effort, and great amount of time – of which I’m very much willing to commit. And having a scholarship at Christian Leaders Institute will be of great assistance for me in reaching my ministry goals of serving others under God’s authority. I appreciate your prayers as I turn my ministry dreams into reality. I strongly believe that the Lord God Almighty, the Author and Perfecter of my faith, will be with me as I step into this new chapter of my life story. To God be the glory! :)”
