Pastor Training: Ebaiama Destiny is a pastor training to help preach to his fellow countrymen. He starts by talking about himself and Pastor Training.
“My name is Ebiama Destiny I presently live in Nigeria with my wife and three children. Nigeria is christianity leading country with large population of its citizens as christians. Ministry walk in Nigeria is growing rapidly every now and then with very encouraging responses from her citizens.I believe as long as a minister of God is guide and back by God in his/her ministry walk one will sure do well if the faith is on Jesus Christ the savior of mankind.”
His search for meaning in life is what led him to become a pastor training to spread the word.
“My quest to understand how things really are in life is all that made me come in contact with the gospel in the year 2003. It was first Sunday of the year and I concluded within me to attend church service with one of the churches close to my house. My self and one of my cousins.Though I said I concluded within me to attend service; I didn’t totally concluded that I actually wanted to be member of that ministry. simply put i didn’t think that my action on that very day will actually turned out to be my moment of change. But the unexpected sure happened and I could not stop after the first service. During the service a lot things happened which i can’t really explain and ever since then i have become a follower of christ and also a member of that ministry. This was how I began my faith in Jesus Christ and ever since then I could not resist the urge to follow the Lord Jesus.”
Ebiama has a vision and he knows pastor training will help him realize it.
“My ministry dream and goals: I want to be a minister of God’s word to the people around me, to lead people and teach them to have the fear of God in their hearts and have their minds renewed, people who will be successful in all they do as Christians with the sole aim of pleasing God and Man, taking God’s word to as many places as the Lord leads me, helping people to share in the blessings that come in following Jesus Christ, through the help of the Holy Spirit.”
A scholarship is needed for my Pastor Training
“CLI scholarship I think and also know will play a major role in reshaping my ministry goal and dreams and helping me fulfill them in so many areas. I know getting pastor training requires a lot of money which at this point I can’t afford. But with the scholarship, CLI will be able to groom and nature me in this pastor training to be deeply rooted in the Lord’s word and teachings. I will get the right method and how to relate with different kind of people with the training that I will be receiving as a result of the CLI scholarship. This will build and equip me to take my ministry to the next level.”
Ebiama closes by talking about the importance of prayer in his Pastor Training.
“One thing I know which others will also agreed with me is the fact that excess of prayer isn’t bad. Infact it’s good to pray always as the Bible also said so. I would like CLI to pray for enabling power of the Holy Spirit on my life to do what i can’t do on my own. Prayer on doing not just learning alone – to put all that I have been thaught into practice.”

“My name is Rosa Margarita Soto (Rosa M Soto). I am Puerto Rican, born in San Juan, PR, but I have lived in the United States of America since I was about 3-4 years old. I was raised/adopted by my maternal grandparents.”
Rosa continues by talking about the religious freedom she has so she can pursue a Hispanic Ministry in the United States.
“Being in America, there are so many opportunities to do ministry, because of the freedom we have here; which in other countries is not possible. But in that same freedom, it also makes it very challenging to do outreach to a people that tries to take “God out” it’s seems to me at times that world around us is more willing to accept God into their lives than we as nation founded on God.”
Rosa’s journey to Hispanic Ministry began relatively young.
“I came to accept the Lord as my Savior when I was about 18-19 years old. We were raised Catholic although we were not always practicing it. We started to open the doors of our home to a Spanish Pastor: Jose Velez. He was the pastor at (“Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal M.I – Pentecostal Church of God International Movement)” He would come to our house and hold small services 1-3 times a month. My grandparents accepted the Lord as their Savior one year prior to me. I was fighting it. I would always get uneasy when they would come to the house. The reason now I know was because I was in darkness. Although I never was in drugs, running the streets, parties, but I was lost, I did not have the Lord Jesus as my personal Savior. I finally gave my life to the Lord on a Tuesday night bible study. I clearly remember Pastor Velez teaching out of Revelations and the beast with the ten horns. I didn’t completely understand but I know enough that I did not want be here with Satan. I knew I was missing something in my life. I gave my life that night and have never turned back. There are so many times that God has shown me again and again that my life would be far worst now, if I rejected Salvation.”
Rosa sees how a Hispanic Ministry can bring light to those stuck in darkness.
“I have seen and had friends that haven’t received Jesus as their Savior, going through some situations, along, desperate for answers. I have had some that have taken their lives because they could not deal with life. It is so sad! How does that song go? “we fall down but we get up” Yes, as Christians, we do go through perhaps the same twists and turns that life has a way of throwing at us but the difference is that we have CHRIST! That when things look their darkest, Jesus always shines a light to show us the path we should go. We are never alone!”
She has a dream of a Multicultural Hispanic Ministry.
My passion is to see my church become and multicultural ministry. My assignment is to help Consolation become a bilingual ministry; by evangelizing the Latino population near and around my church in South Philadelphia. Our Bishop Gaines has commissioned Minister Damian Benitez and myself to help him make this part of the vision for the ministry come true. Currently we are working on coming up with a mission/vision statement for the future launching of the “Consolation Baptist Church – Hispanic Ministry”. The development of the Hispanic Ministry is still in the embryo process
I also want to train as a Chaplain. I am looking into some programs in my area and online to see what is out there. I would love to be able to work with patients.”
Rosa Closes by mentioning the impact Christian Leaders Institue has had on her Hispanic Ministry training.
Having a Scholarship would help me in so many ways to reach the goals that God is slowly revealing to me. I want to thank you all for your love of God’s word. For begin in position to help so many future leaders to impact their lives, families, neighborhoods and countries.

Mission Haiti: Guy-Francois Norcilus is drawn to Mission Haiti. Haiti is still recovering from the devastating natural disaster that claimed more then 100,000 lives. Guy opens about his faith and life.
“I greet you all in the name of Jesus Christ who is die for Our Sins. My name is Guy-Francois Norcilus. I am from Haiti I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters our Parents still living by the Grace of God. Now I am a permanent resident here in US. I growing up in a Christian family. My day has 3 churches,1 clinic 1 elementary school and 1 High School in Haiti. We use to have a family devotional twice a day as family.”
Guy continues about his dream to work on Mission Haiti.
“In December 1995 we have a service in my day church after the message I realize born ina christian family or becasue my day is a pastor not mean i am save for that. That day i realize that I give my life to christ as my saviour. Since that day I have been serve the Lord. My dream for My ministry as my day already started is to go back to work wirh people where Im come from to serve the Lord because we have a wonderful ministry over there. every year i go to Haiti to help my day with the work he is doing there.”
He has a Passion for Mission Haiti
“A scholarship at CLI so important to my ministry will help me to help more people who are in need in Haiti. Because i want that small community I was born have more evolution. I want you guys to pray for us so God can give us strength to do His work. pray for my parents as they work there sometime it is very stressfull and hard when poeple come to you tell you they dont have food to eat or they can paid they tuition for they childs. As a Pastor you have to do something.
