Mission Pakistan – While Christians celebrate Christmas every December 25, believers in Christ living in Pakistan face persecution or discrimination. Mission Pakistan must thrive with little direct mission support from outside believers. The Pakistani government frowns on outside help for the church. The German news organization DW reported on December 25, 2012, “But for Christians in Pakistan, who live under constant fear of persecution by the state and majority Sunni Muslims, there is not much to celebrate. Christians make up about two percent of the 180 million people living in Pakistan. Mission Pakistan – One Hundred and Sixty Students Enrolled At CLI
Christian Leaders Institute welcomed 160 new students over the last 2 years. Many of them are progressing toward advanced standing at CLI. Some of these students are already established Christian leaders who desperately need advanced ministry training which will greatly assist them in bringing the gospel to Pakistan.
One of these mission Pakistan leader is Parvaiz Alam. Parvaiz is a businessman who runs an orphanage. He writes, “I am professionally an accountant but also working as an evangelist as an outreach preacher, I have five brothers & sisters. I am also running a ministry organization called “Community Care of Pakistan (CCP)” which is doing work for the needy, poor & deprived Christian community of Pakistan in the field of education. Women empowerment, health, outreach preaching, orphanage etc.” This mission Pakistan leader is being used powerfully by God. 
At Christmas this year, Community Care of Pakistan gave gifts to needy children. This bi-vocational Christian leader runs this mission Pakistan ministry with very little foreign support. He studies at Christian Leaders Institute so that he will have the training to effectively lead his team of fellow lay leaders. He stated the reason for studying at CLI. “CLI training and scholarship is very important for me and for my organization, because, when I am trained and equipped, my team will be equipped with the Word of God and then we can change others. Meet another Pakistan leader named, Suleman Masih Gill. “I am 53 years old from Faisalabad, Pakistan. I have been running an advertising agency (Intermedia Communication) on my own and have worked in Pakistan General Insurance Company Limited as a manager. I am married to Shaheen Gill and have one daughter Lisa, 21.
My grandfather was a strong believer of the Sikh faith and his intention for my father was that he would serve the Sikh religion. My father accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and served a church mission society as a lay leader rather than following his forefather’s doctrine for the rest of his life. We were six brothers, but four have passed away. I am the youngest and I have one sister. We were a nominal Christian family that used to go to church every Christmas and Easter day only. I had never wanted to be a pastor. I had sickness of pain in my chest, but one day it was so severe that I could not stand it at all. I do not know why, but I cried to the Lord Jesus to please heal me of this pain since I would not go to any doctor to consult about my sickness. Thank God, he replied to me with his voice “Suleman you are very far from me, you need to come to me.” To make a long story short, I surrendered myself to Jesus Christ, and made a confession of my sins. Praise the Lord He healed me of my pain and I do not have any sickness in my body so far.”
God has a plan for Mission Pakistan.
“Now God is using me for his glory for deliverance of captives of demon, healing of sickness and preaching of his Good News. I want to reach the unreached since in Pakistan there are many areas where people live in poverty and destitute conditions waiting for men of God to evangelize and disciple them .”
“Of course it is unbelievable for me to be enrolled at CLI, for I have never been or even thought that one day I would get training in an institution like CLI. A scholarship to CLI can be of great significance for equipping me with the word of God and fulfilling my vision to reach the unreached with the gospel and to work with youth who need to learn the Word of God.”

Christian Mentoring – Ronald Miller wants to be a part of Christian Mentoring in his Church. He starts his testimony by giving some background in his life or Christian Mentoring over seas.
“I currently live in the USA, although I make occaisional trips to check on ministries in India that our church supports. In India I am welcomed and treated well in the areas I visit, usually rural villages. In the USA we minister free from persecution but are not generally well received by our general culture.”
We do enjoy tremendous religious freedom in the USA. This does give us a different set of ministry challenges. Miller continues by framing his dream fro Christian Mentoring.
“My goal is Christian Mentoring of other men in our church, beginning with my fellow elders. I am a seminary graduate (about 25 years ago), and see that your program is excellent. The practical courses are something my seminary did not include, although I had extensive Greek and Hebrew studies. I hope to gain a lot from this, and start to actively assist my Pastor with some pastoral duties in addition to being an adult Sunday school teacher and doing Christian Mentoring”
Miller has had some previous training for Christian Mentoring.
“I am currently looking at your program as a way to do Christian Mentoring of leaders in our church (the Bible Fellowship Church, which is in the Reformed tradition). I graduated from Biblical Theological Seminary (Hatfield PA) about 25 years ago, and have also more recently studied many of the books that you use for your courses. While I have good mastery of the Bible, Theology, and Greek subjects, I admit that I am in need of the ‘practical ministry’ courses you offer. And I never mind reviewing the Bible, Theology, or my languages.”

I am suggesting that these two Elders take the course, as they have both approached me about being better equipped. Christian Mentoring is crucial in the proper training of leaders.
“Perhaps it would be best if I enroll along with someone I plan to teach as part of my CHristian Mentoring and go through the materials at the same time. There is no one available to mentor me … perhaps one of the elders can perform this function as I mentor him. About 42 years ago I shared a table in a crowded restaurant with an older man. He invited me to church, where I met other college students who explained the Gospel and after I accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior they discipled me with a weekly one-on-one Bible study and a group Bible study.”

“I seek to assist our young pastor with some of his duties such as visitation and administration. I teach adult Sunday school now. I have a good scholarly Bible education, including Hebrew and Greek. But never learned the practical things, like how to visit, how to counsel the grieving, how to lead others in a work group. Pray that the Lord will lead me clearly so that I might be a more effective servant and be a part of Christian Mentoring in our local church.”

Mission Nigeria – It is very difficult to get ministry training in Nigeria.
I am a Nigerian, leaving in Nigeria. Doing Ministry in Nigeria I will say is not really easy in the sense that people dont supporting the work of God until they see that you are making it before anybody will like to stop to see what you are doing.People go to Ministries that are made already but to support a Ministry and a Pastor that is just coming up with a vision God has given for the work is almost becoming a crime and there those who are actually are almost discourage because they dont ave the money to rent a good place of worship where people can come and sit comfortably and hear the word.The worst is that people looking for prophecy instead of the word,thereby those who have the word are suffering and that in turn has some to go as far as using diabolical to do Ministry in order to give people prophecy.
I came to know the Lord as a child at the age of seven in the days of Scripture Union(SU) in my village when there was no electricity and because there was no follow up,I did not know what to do next until in my Secondary School in a Youth programme of Deeper Life Bible Church in 1989 when I got in contact with the Lord again(restored) and with the help of a Sister(one of the youths co-ordinators) in the Lord who use to come around to teach me the word and to encouraged me, I got matured and became a Youth Co-ordinator(pastor) till when I left that ministry when the Lord was done with me.
My ministry dream is to winthe lost and raise them as gospel militant onto the Lord a people that are ready for the rapture or coming of the Lord,Heavenly minded Christians. We have a dream of establishing Nursery,Primary,Secondary and University where student will be raise in the fear of the Lord,taught good morals and release into the society,state,nations and the world to influence people,the government and society with the fear of the Lord especially in our nation where corruption is on the increase.We also have an Outreach Ministry in the dream or vision.

I see CLI as very important because I cant affort the fees for a Bible College and seeing an opportunity like this to be equipped, taught the word with all sincerety and have more formal education in ministry through CLI,I need to grab it.To be sincere the little I have heard so far is so reach to train young converts to maturity bacause these are the basics the need to know.
