ORDINATION WITH CLI & CLA
Upon completing your training with CLI, you are invited to get ordained as a Licensed Christian Wedding Officiant with the Christian Leaders Alliance. This Alliance is a minister credentialing organization that recognizes the CLI’s wedding skills training. Once you finish the program, you’re eligible to receive a Christian Leaders Alliance Licensed Christian Wedding Officiant credential, enabling you to conduct weddings professionally and effectively. To Become a wedding officiant in California, unlike some other states, ordained ministers do not need to register with the local government. However, it’s crucial to keep a copy of your ordination certificate, as you may be asked to provide it as proof of your credentials.
FULFILLING LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
As a wedding officiant in California, you hold the key to ensuring the legality of the marriage ceremony. You are required to verify the couple’s marriage license before the wedding. The license is valid for 90 days, and the marriage ceremony must take place within this period.
After the ceremony, you, the couple, and the witnesses sign the marriage license. The completed license should be returned to the county recorder’s office within 10 days following the ceremony to be officially recorded.

As For Me and My House, We Will Serve the Lord
Hello, my name is Stefan Walther. I am from Bavaria in Germany, but since 2010 I have lived in County Wexford in Ireland with my wife Carmen. We are attending a small local Bible-believing church. As a student at CLI, the Christian Leaders Courses ground me more deeply in my faith and walk with Christ.
My Journey to Faith
I grew up in a small village in Germany in a nominally Catholic home. Mostly my contact with Christianity was in school. There I received lessons in religious education and church services for special occasions. At home, faith was not a topic. We attended church only for funerals or on all saints day. Overall, I had a distorted knowledge of God and the Bible.
After graduating from school, I started to work in a DIY store, where I met my future wife. She was a believer for several years. Also, having been in the United States for some years, she introduced me to another perspective concerning faith in Jesus Christ. I started to read the whole Bible (in school, we were only introduced to the New Testament). The more I read the Word, the more I realized my need for a Savior and how far I missed the mark. The Lord Jesus opened my eyes and drew me towards Him. Therefore, I gave my life to Him.

I want to lead a life that is pleasing to the Lord and to lead my family well. So, I searched online for classes to help me with this goal. Thankfully, I found the Christian Leaders Institute.
