Tungamirai Musendekwa –
“I come from Zimbabwe where a lot of ministry work is being carried out in a peaceful environment. I have managed together with my family to establish a congregation in the newly acquired suburb.
“I was born again when I was doing my secondary education in 1985. I used to be very stubborn and my parents were surprised when I was baptized and gave my life to Jesus. I became a totally different person. Some of my friends thought I was going to go back to my past activities but I persevered.
“My dream is to bring many souls to Jesus. I have an ambition to see a fellowship of congregants. I have a calling in the healing ministry. I intercede for the Church, the family and my country. I believe in the power of Jesus.”
Tungamirai Musendekwa Receives a Scholarship
“I believe the scholarship will help go through all the necessary basics and detail so as to equip myself to be able to share with everyone possible the Gospel. I believe at CLI I get the best of what is required in every person’s christian life. The scholarship will be a key for me to be able to study the Bible more and more for I have seen this as very relevant to me.
“I ask that you pray for me to be able to start a project to raise funds for evangelism. I would like the Children’s ministry to grow. I kindly ask that you pray for success in whatever we intend to do to grow the Church. You can also pray that Christ be the one all Glory should go not to me.”
Tungamirai Musendekwa grew up without God, but when he was called to serve God in 1985, his friends and family were amazed at the changes in him. Tungamirai Musendekwa knows what it means to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, and he wants others to experience the transformation too. It is this goal that brings Tungamirai Musendekwa to Christian Leaders Institute. Tungamirai Musendekwa sees a scholarship at Christian Leaders Institute as a doorway to winning more souls for Christ.

Oden Makiwa –
“My name is Oden Makiwa. I am married with 2 children (12&15). We currently live in England, United Kingdom. We are originally from Zimbabwe. We have lived in England for 12 years.
“I grew up in church. I have been passionate about studying the Word of God all my life. Living in another country as a bi-vocational pastor and working hard to support family members back home gives me little opportunity to pursue my passion to study due to time and financial constraints.”
Oden Makiwa Receives a Scholarship
“I came across the Christian Leaders Institute online and immediately concluded that this was a prayer answered. Now I can pursue my studies part-time with easy Internet access. I am involved in my church as an associate pastor and one of my responsibilities is to do missionary work. I have been to Africa 4 times in the last 2 years training leaders. With a CLI scholarship I believe I will be well equipped to impart more advanced knowledge to a lot of other people who do not have the same access and opportunities like I now have with CLI.

Oden Makiwa has a passion for Christ. He immigrated from Zimbabwe to England, where he pastors a church while working full time to support his family. Oden Makiwa isn’t content to live a stagnant life, though. He knows that he has more to learn, but he doesn’t have the finances or time to attend a seminary. Oden Makiwa sees Christian Leaders Institute as a doorway to a greater impact for Christ – in his community now, and others in time.

Thato Ookeditse –
“My name is Mr Thato Ookeditse. I am 28 years of age. I was born in Mmadinare, Botswana. I currently live in Gaborone city in Botswana where I pastor a church branch which I planted 5 weeks back for a church called Joyous Christian Centre. I am an ordained minister of the gospel and an international Administrator of the named church.
“I got saved in 2002 while I was at senior high school in scripture union. I decided to accept the Lord as my personal savior after the preaching I heard in an outreach that was organized by the scripture union of the same school.
“God called me in 2009 to be a minister of the gospel in the apostolic anointing to plant churches, nurture churches, and establish their administration. Doing ministry in Botswana is quite challenging but at the same time interesting. I had an opportunity to plant and nurture six churches in Botswana and one church in UK. The main challenge in Botswana is financial problem towards supporting the ministry but i spend most time doing house to house which help the church to grow and reach many unsaved souls.”
Thato Ookeditse Receives a Scholarship
“Having CLI sponsorship helped me to be enriched on the word of God like i have never imagined. it helped me to have depth on my teachings and it have made my teachings to be much easier. I believe it will help me to have qualification since in some countries that I want to reach in the future, for a person to have a permit they need a qualification.
“My prayer is that God may help me to be bold when I preach the gospel. I want to reach as many souls as I can.”
Thato Ookeditse ministers in a church in Botswana, where poverty makes it challenging for ministers to find the financial support they need to survive while focusing wholly on preaching the word. As he seeks the growth of the kingdom of God, Thato Ookeditse goes door to door, but still isn’t able to earn enough to go to traditional seminary classes. Still Thato Ookeditse feels the prodding of the Spirit to preach the word not only in his own country of Botswana, but in other countries as well. Thato Ookeditse has come to Christian Leaders Institute because he knows that he can be equipped to carry the message of the gospel to all nations.
