Genenia Williamson –
“First, I would like to thank you in advance for taking time out of your day to allow me to share my story and how Christian Leaders Institute is a blessing and so beneficial to the growth of God’s Kingdom.
“I currently live in the United States and doing ministry here is like a dream come true. There is freedom to proclaim and share the knowledge of Jesus Christ. I came to know The Lord as a young girl. It was important to my father that I learn about God’s love and that I accept His gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.
“My ministry dream is to glorify God by demonstrating Christian living and ministering to youth, to help them to know so they can grow in God’s great Kingdom. Youth Leader are the words that I identify the most with because I love youth and I think it is very important to teach and share God’s truths because it can help influence the choices they make in the future. My experience serving at my local church in the Sunday School and Children’s Church departments allow me to let God use me as an instrument as He develops my gift in teaching.
“An unique challenge in my geographic allows same sex marriages.
“My local church is supporting my ministry calling by allowing my husband and I to be the leaders of the Children’s Church department. My family’s role in my ministry calling is very supportive and they are willing to pray with me, pray for me, study God’s word with me, encourage me, and help honor and glorify God.”
Genenia Williamson Receives a Scholarship
“A scholarship at Christian Leaders Institute is so important to my ministry dream because it will help me to learn more about God’s word and equip me with gainful knowledge that will make me more confident in what I will share about God and why I share it. It will allow me to help grow God’s Kingdom.
“Please pray that God’s will be done through this ministry, souls will be saved, and Christian living will occur as a result of this ministry, and ultimately that God gets all the glory forever. Amen.”
Genenia Williamson grew up knowing the Lord because the knowledge of God and His salvation were very important to her father. With this strong example in her life, Genenia Williamson is turning to her own ministry calling. In an day and age where same-sex marriage is promoted by the secular culture, Genenia Williamson lives in an area where it has already gained acceptance. Genenia Williamson recognizes that in such a culture it is important now more than ever to instruct our youth in the knowledge and wisdom of the Lord. With this in mind, Genenia Williamson seeks a scholarship at Christian Leaders Institute so that she can be better equipped to provide this instruction.

Peter Mulunda –
“Hi my name is Peter Mulunda. I am currently living in South Africa, but am originally Zambian. I came to South Africa in 2005 and have been living here since then.
“South Africa is a beautiful country, apart from its beauty, South Africa boasts of a rich mixed culture. South Africa is considered a melting pot for Africa. It’s like the whole world is down here, south. This makes it the most ideal place for ministry. South Africa was one of the least evangelized in Africa. Not until in recent years have we seen in South African coming to the Lord. South Africa is ripe for the Gospel. Depending on which part of the country you are living in, there are some challenges. Some of the most common ones are ancestral worship, illiteracy, and alcohol consumption for both young and old.
“I came to the Lord in 1990 at a crusade in Lusaka Zambia. My friends and I were hanging out, we happened to be near to a place where there was a crusade taking place. We made our way there and got touched by the word and received the Lord as my personal savior. But after a period of one year, I went back to my old life style. It was not until 1995 that I rededicated my life to the Lord at a church called Maranatha in Kitwe, Zambia. Since then I have been walking steadily with the Lord.
“My dream is to one day to plant an inter-denomination church were all people from all races are welcome. I want to work with people from all back grounds and different races. My goal is to be missions orientated. I have a passion for missions and church planting though I personally have not planted a church before, but I know that I will raise up church planters. I have been part of a church plant under my current pastor.
“I see myself to be more of a pastor; I believe I have a gift for teaching. I love to teach the word of God. I love reading and teaching the things I read. I have since concentrated my efforts on teaching.
“I never saw myself in ministry; it was not until I noticed that people began to refer to me as pastor. I began to receive prophecies pointing me to the ministry. I knew that time to prepare myself had come.
“The challenges that we face geographically are: we leave in an area were it is just practically difficult reach out to people. The suburbs are characterized by high security wall fences making it difficult to make friend or actually see neighbors. These are particularly white dominated areas. We try to leave pamphlets in the mail boxes, I must admit that it has proven to be a daunting task.
“My Pastor and the church at large have been very supportive of my ministry calling in a lot of ways. One of the ways has been that my pastor has allowed me to preach in Sunday services, conduct holy communion, and lead prayer meetings. I have received some moral support as well. I have no doubt that the church has been praying for me as well.
“The role my family has plays in supporting me is just the encouragement from my wife, especially during the time I take way from our family time to be studying or doing something ministry related. The prayers from my wife and daughter give me strength to pursue my dream.”
Peter Mulunda Receives a Scholarship
“The scholarship at CLI will help in a great way. It will help me launch out. It will help us prepare for what is ahead of us in ministry in terms of knowledge.
“Pray for us for grace to launch out at the right time and God’s wisdom in all this. God bless.”
Peter Mulunda is a called pastor who has set his heart on the ministry of the Lord. In South Africa, called pastors like Peter Mulunda face ministry challenges including physical barriers such as high fences in addition to the modern societal sins like alcoholism and consumerism. Despite this, Peter Mulunda trusts that God will bless and provide for his ministry as a called pastor. In pursuing his ministry as a called pastor, Peter Mulunda has been led to Christian Leaders Institute, where he can get the high quality courses that will give a called pastor a greater knowledge base from which to preach the word of God.

Marvin Walton –
“My name is Marvin Walton. Currently, I live in Holly Springs, North Carolina in the United States. I serve at Faith Community Church in Durham, North Carolina, where my Pastor is Ronnie T. Northam, Jr. I serve in a number of roles, including Courtkeeper/Usher, Audio/Video Coordinator and Choir Tenor. I came to know the Lord early, at the age of 10 at the former Mount Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, Virginia, close to where I grew up. As time went on, I drifted from God, but eventually repented and returned to the Lord. In recent years, I even had a prophecy spoken over my life that I would be a “preacher or teacher” at some point. Years later, my younger brother asked if I had considered going back to college to pursue ministry. That led to my enrollment in Christian Leaders Institute.
“My ministry dream is to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, especially to young believers who are in need of a road map of how to live the life that Jesus commanded us to live. More often than not, I see people saying, “I’m saved … now what?” I have a desire to disciple and help guide people through the process of transformation – so they may live a life that pleases God and reach their destiny in God. If I had to identify myself, based on what I described, I could be a small group leader. I have a heart for speaking to people about the things of God, praying them through difficulties, and seeing God’s abundant harvest come forth in their lives. The key experience that triggers my belief goes back to my childhood. While I got saved as a preteen, I felt like I didn’t have a real road map of how to navigate being a Godly child, especially while going through adolescence. This is especially key for me, with knowing I didn’t (at times) have good, consistent Christian male role models at times. I didn’t have that “go-to” to ask when I had questions about how to live a life as a born-again child – so I drifted from God. Thank God He preserved me long enough to return back to a relationship with Him.
“My local church, especially my Pastor and leaders, have been instrumental in encouraging me to keep walking with God. Being that my family has teachers in it, the natural progression was to keep learning about the things of God and show others (as well as be encouraging to them) about living a life that pleases God. A lot of younger Christians (between ages 25-44) don’t think that living a Godly life is “fun”. While it has its challenges, it’s nice to have a relationship with God, and all of the benefits that come with having the Holy Spirit residing on the inside of us.
“My family has been nothing short of wonderful when it comes to this path. My entire immediate family, in some shape or form, has influenced my current path with God, and with Christian Leaders Institute. From my father’s encouragement to heed the Word of God preached and my brothers giving me encouragement to pursue a higher calling in God, to my mother’s fervent prayers for all of her children … I have no doubt that all of those had key factors in my current walk with God and the calling on my life to teach and minister to others.”
Marvin Walton Receives a Scholarship
“A scholarship at Christian Leaders Institute would mean a great deal to me as I pursue my calling in Christ. I plan to be a beacon for Christ on so many levels. Being in my upper 30’s in age, I want to let people know that whether you are age 10, 30 or 60 … it is never too late to pursue your calling and to (as Paul said) finish your course in God. I want to show people of all ages what it is to walk with God. I want to show them how a man of God looks, and that being a born-again Christian is not a destination alone … it’s a journey.
“In reference to solicitation of prayer, these are the areas I would request prayer for …
- Please pray for the salvation of my extended family,
- Please pray that the Lord will show me His more excellent way day by day in all things, that I might live a life that causes Our Lord to be proud of me,
- Among many gifts, I’m also an author. Please pray for me that I may be expansive with my gift to write and teach.
- Please pray for my church, that we may continue to effectively grow and spread the Gospel, and take the East Coast for Jesus Christ!
- Please pray for my finances to multiply so that I may not only bless Christian Leaders Institute in the coming months and years for others to be blessed in learning more about the things of God!
“I thank you for considering this letter and the prayer requests. By faith in line with Romans 4:17, I’m thanking God right now for my scholarship with Christian Leaders Institute. God bless you!”
When Marvin Walton came to God, he quickly realized that there weren’t many strong male figures in his life to instruct him in the way of the Lord. Without the godly guidance that comes from such figures, Marvin Walton drifted away for a season, but God, ever faithful, called him back. Now, Marvin Walton wants to serve the Lord by providing that mentor figure that he never had to others who are young in the faith. In an age where the Christian life is often seen as mundane duty, Marvin Walton seeks to teach young Christians that following God can be a wonderful experience. To achieve his ministry calling, Marvin Walton has been led by the Lord to Christian Leaders Institute.
