My name is Derek J Backhouse, I am originally from Durban, South Africa and am now living in Omagh, Northern Ireland. I believe that I was told by God to come here as Northern Ireland is desperate for revival.
Living in South Africa was difficult as there was discrimination on the color of skin. I believe that racism is the scourge of the Nations and it is rampant everywhere. My heart is for people to see that in the Kingdom of God, we are under a new culture and creed that is not based on color and country.
I believe that I was led to Christian Leaders institute by the Holy Spirit. I came upon it randomly and the site “jumped out at me” so to speak. I believe that God has called me to receive evangelist training and preach the good news of the resurrection. The gospel is ALL that will save us in the days to come. I believe that we are nearing the final harvest, the final revival, and I am committed to being an integral part of it.
By the time I was 11 years old I had read my Bible from cover to cover many times but I still yearn for more. My motive for doing these courses is to increase my understanding of the word. These courses are easy to understand and learn from.
When I became a Christian and received Jesus as Lord I knew it wasn’t going to be easy and it certainly hasn’t been, but what a journey it has been so far. I am very excited to be given another opportunity to study the word of God as I have not been able to afford a Bible college up until now.
Please pray for the will of God in my life. Spiritually speaking, the town where I am living is dead. The people of Northern Ireland are still very bitter about the religious conflicts of the past and blame God for it, but I believe that He loves Northern Ireland and am willing and able to be sent by Him to minister to them.
Christian Leaders Institute offers a Christian Leaders Ordination certificate and registration 0n the Christian Leaders Directory. This Ordination is a nice completion of evangelist training and confirmation that you have completed advanced Evangelist training at CLI. It also gives the graduate of CLI an Christian Leaders Ordination card.
I am originally from New York and I now live in Baltimore Maryland I have lived here in Baltimore 
for the last six years. Being that I am in the U.S. I am free to exorcise my faith openly.
Ministry is my passion, I love talking to people about the goodness of Jesus and in my six years of being saved I must say that the only critics I have had to deal with is two family members that don’t want to except the fact that I am no longer the person I used to be and I no longer do the things I used to do.
I came to know the Lord as a child but I was not raised up in the church. I truly came to know the Lord one month after my 40th birthday I know the number 40 truly represents a lot in a spiritual since. i had just moved to Baltimore 6 months prior to getting save. there was a sign up on the church board that said ” DON’T WAIT FOR SIX STRONG MEN TO CARRY YOU INTO CHURCH. Every time I would see that sign something started to convict me I now know that it wasn’t something convicting me it was someone The Holy Spirit. So on August 31,2008 I gave my life to Christ and never looked back.
My ministry dream is to have an out reach center that offers a GED program teaches literacy and also teaches who Jesus is. I also desire to have some transitional housing for teen mothers who are trying to get their lives together for the Lord and for the sake of their children.
The word I identify with most is Past and that’s because God has already revealed to me that’s where he is taking me. I am now and Evangelist I’ve been preaching for four years. the first ministry I served on was the Usher Board, then the Youth Ministry in which I was also President and the Pastors Aide ministry. I love what God has called me to do
I got into ministry because I loved and still love the Lord and wanted to serve in his house and in His Kingdom in whatever way He desired me to. I don’t mind telling you when God was revealing my calling to preach I gave him every excuse under the sun why I couldn’t be a preacher needless to say Jesus won that debate hands down.
I have a few challenges in my area but I know they are a blessing in disguise. I live in an area where there is a lot of drug usage. I know what it is to be addicted to drugs being that I used them for a very long period of time. I say the location God has put me in is a blessing in disguise because God delivered me from them instantly when I gave my life to Him. the bible says God is no respecter of person what he will do foe one He will do for another. it’s because of my testimony I can go outside and witness to the saving,healing and deliverance power of the Lord.
I was at my 1st church home for 5 1/2 years that where i answered my call to preach and where i served on numerous ministries I truly love my pastor, first lady and church family there. I knew God was about to move and elevate me but what i didn’t know is that my time there was coming to an end because my Pastor was retiring. I’ve been at my new church home for 3 months now but iv’e been a part of the family for almost a year. My Chief Apostle teaches us gives all of the ecclesiastical lots of preaching assignments and encourages us to do lots of out reach we actually go out in groups and minister to God’s people
My husband is a Deacon in the church and my children are my biggest cheerleaders next to Jesus. My mom still lives in New York and she is also a Christian shes very active in ministry and yes she is a proud always bragging about her daughter the preacher. My mom supports me 100% and will take that 3 1/2 hour drive when I’m doing something special in ministry.
A scholarship to C.L.I means the world to me. I know where The Lord is taking me I need more schooling and I wan’t to be prepared to do what thus says The Lord. I am dealing with two injuries right now and i have to have surgery for therm both. I am unable to work due to my situation so financially things are tight. I was so excited when I saw C.L.I on a facebook page and immediately began to praise God because I had been praying for The Lord to send me back to school and I knew this was my answered prayer.
Please pray that The Lord will use the Ministry that He has placed in me to lead the lost to Him,please also pray that my family and I will continue to serve the Lord together as a family and that I will continue to proclaim the Gospel with boldness and minister in love.
Hello Everyone! I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ. My name is Wilmer Rodriguez (38) years 
old now and I live in Caracas capital of Venezuela in the north of South America. This is the place of my birth.
I am the first of four children. I am married to Carroll Alezard from Caracas, too since 2012 and I am living with two stepchildren, Jesus (11) and Zarah (6). Regarding my country Venezuela, it is small and well known for its petroleum, however many people in the world have not heard about us. Our native language is Spanish. Fortunately, it is a free country to express not only the Christian faith but any religious belief. At the moment the nation is facing some economic and social difficulties, but most of the inhabitants and specially Lord´s people expect this will change.
About the way I came to the Lord Jesus in 1997, I was so tied with bad spirits or demons, I wanted to take my life and was very rebellious with my parents and the rest of family. It had not to do with drugs (though I sometimes drank alcohol) or mental problems.
In those days I could not sleep because of demonic attacks. To solve it I began to visit some sorcerers and witches and realized of the following: there is a spiritual world or dimension that we do not see, but affects all the human beings. Short after I understood the need from God´s help. So I attended to a church and started a process of deliverance from demons which afflicted my life during various years. I always remember the story of the Gospels about the demoniac Gadarene because something like this happened to me.
Even though the situation above was not easy for me, I fastened and prayed with constancy and intensity. Then the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit make me free. Glory to the Almighty God…
In my first years as a believer, I attended a church without sound doctrine (I mean a mixture of Christianity with other beliefs). During my path in Christ I have learned that He called me not only to eternal life but for ministry as well. I have in my heart the inquietude for evangelistic ministry (I got the confirmation for it). My desire is to preach and teach the gospel in a proper way. Besides the Lord´s gift I see in my wife an important support to achieve this goal.
Currently my wife and I have a weekly radio program called “Christians in Action” and we lead biblical teachings and preachings in our house on Wednesdays. We are sure that the Holy Spirit has instructed us to do it. This will be a support to develop and growth in the ministerial field. In the future through God´s will we would like to establish a place for Christian Education and other for helping people in drugs and those living on the streets.
I started this ministry training course because I want to be equipped for whatever the Lord wants me to do. I hope to go on at CLI despite it is in English (but this is a way to improve my English level). I thank God for technology mainly internet, for this online learning program, because I have not seen it in Spanish. I mean the web site design, structure, CLI´s vision and curriculum.
My congregation is a small one and this gives me the opportunity to take part in the church activities. Sometimes I preach and teach in the local service and also there are some activities outside in the streets of the city. My wife does the same. That’s the reason I need this kind of training. It´s necessary to have the best tools we can, in order to expose the Gospel as we have been entrusted.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim 2:15) My prayer is that I will be ready and equipped for whatever the Lord wants for me to do and that I will forever walk close to Him and be in His perfect Will.
