South African Revival Leaders Train For The Ministry Field With CLI
My name is Omphile Sekgarametso, I am residing in South Africa, North West province, in Mafikeng. I am born in a family of 3 children. I am still a student, and not married.
I came to meet with the Lord in 2011 after returning from a peer camp that we went to as a school, after hearing the messages of one of the brothers and being pleased by his way of living, I was convicted and converted to Jesus Christ. Since then I have been devoting myself into the studying of the scriptures and prayer.
I am a youth leader in the church I am submitting under. By calling I am an evangelist, it was prophesied and confirmed to me.
The village I am located in which is Motsoseng there are churches, but they are not preaching the pure gospel of Jesus Christ. Many people know little about Jesus Christ, and they do not have a relationship with Him.
I began to sense God’s calling upon my life the same year I opened my heart for the Lord Jesus, and acknowledged Him as the Lord and Savior of my life. In the same year, I began doing morning sermons at the assembly of the school I was in, even at high school.
The church [ministry] has put me in a mentorship program which is meant to train us into being youth leaders. We are also given platforms to take out what God has bestowed in us. I was even asked earlier in 2014 to preach 2 days at a 3 days open air-outreach.
I have a passion to see many turning to righteousness that is in Jesus Christ. My ministry goal is to conduct more of street evangelism, house-to-house evangelism, open-air outreaches, revivals and crusades. The coming of the Lord Jesus is at hand, so we must win more souls.
In 2013, I began evening devotions and prayer with my parents and they have since given their lives to Jesus Christ. I was the first person to be born-again in my family.
Receiving the scholarship from Christian Leaders Institute will help me a lot. It will help in equipping and training me for the ministry work. It will help me to get more understanding of the word of God. It will also help me to become an evangelists who brings rejoicing in heaven.

The work of God is endless. We encourage our brothers and sisters, and we introduce the Lord to those who have never heard his name. Wherever there is people, the work of God is possible.
Erica Lowry Is Ready To Do The Work Of God
My name is Erica Lowry and I have been living in the Republic of Ireland for 6 ½ years. I never imagined I would live abroad one day, let alone serving God in a small town in Ireland!
It all started when, at 20 years old, I gave my life to Christ leaving behind a messed up past with lots of hurts and wrongdoings. Not that everything disappeared overnight. There are still things to be treated within my being, but God’s grace and wonderful mercy propels me to stand up and move to the direction He leads me, facing the challenges in life with hope and confidence.
I grew up attending mass every Sunday and thought for a good while that that was what I was supposed to do in order to be right with God. In my teenage years I caught myself thinking about what I was seeing around. That happened several times. I started questioning confession/penance, huge variety of ‘saints’- each one for a specific need, Jesus being kept on the cross full of blood (He resurrected, right?), the performance of rituals and repetition of the same words in order to ‘feel’ that I had been forgiven. I felt trapped in a meaningless and ritualistic life. And God knew that.
Having come from an unstructured home, I felt the need of spending lots of time outdoors and on one of those occasions I saw myself in a Christian camp, being invited by a Christian colleague who was studying with me at that time. Since then, I’ve been walking with the Lord. I have had big ups and downs and after a painful divorce 7 years ago, God brought me to where I am now – Ireland! – and I am forever grateful for that. Not only did He give me a wonderful husband here, but He also put me in a position to be able to help others in their walk with Him. I am truly a blessed woman!
My ministry dream is to be more and more obedient to God and encourage others to do the same and, by doing so, to fully embrace their identity in Christ and enjoy an abundant life.
I am a teacher by profession and God has improved teaching skills by consistently keeping me teaching children since the early days of my conversion. I also have a strong desire to help other women to respond to God’s calling in their lives and I simply love being an encourager for them. I’ve been learning a lot in the process on how to be more effective as I share my personal testimony and God’s Word with different types of people, respecting the stage they are in their lives – emotionally, physically and spiritually.
My husband is a pastor and I am also encouraged by him and truly blessed for our sharing similar ministerial goals.
Ireland has a sad past regarding religion and disregard for people. The hurts are obvious as nearly everyone in their 50s, for example, has a story of abuse either in school or in church to tell about their religious upbringing. Their resentment, in many cases, prevents them from seeing God as a loving Father who cares about their lives. People in religious authority (for many years Ireland was heavily under the influence of the established church in all areas of life) mishandled the Scriptures or totally forgot about them. All these problems and many others have greatly impacted the Irish nation and left a bitter taste in people’s mouths concerning Christianity.
My husband and I are part of a small gathering of believers and we are also involved with the broader community. It always amazes me how the small tasks in the local community result in big results for the kingdom. Sometimes we become discouraged for not seeing the results we expect and then we are blessed to hear that our testimony here reached another country. We don’t function in order to always see things happening in front of us. God cannot be boxed in, His message and our testimonies travel distances we cannot imagine.
Our brothers and sisters in Christ support us with prayers and valuable encouragement. It’s a journey we’ve been walking together and we try to be open and honest about our struggles.
CLI will help me to feel more equipped and enabled to do the work of God. The financial resources are limited at the moment and we try to do our best with them. Having the opportunity to study online for free is a tremendous blessing that I hope to honor not only by putting great effort in my studies, but also by donating to CLI when I am able to do so.

A Miracle Of Healing Only By Jesus

I was born in Zimbabwe in 1970. I attended early church at Roman Catholic, mainly because our mother insisted that we attend. As I grew older I stopped attending completely. Due to economic problems in Zimbabwe, I moved to Botswana in 2003. My residence is in Botswana where my family currently lives but I’m currently employed in Zambia. This is the story that changed my life, how I was saved, and the ministry I am pursuing.
I went to work in Mozambique for 3 years from 2011 to 2013. While in Mozambique, I applied for work in Zambia and was successful. I went back home to Botswana in preparation to move to Zambia for my new assignment. I completed all the formalities with my new employer and I was given the air ticket and travel dates. With a week to go to Zambia for my new assignment, on 21st November, 2013 at around 3 a.m, I woke up with a strong headache. I couldn’t sleep and started vomiting, pain killers could not help. My wife took me to the local private surgery but all the treatments could not stop the headache. They gave me bed rest thinking it was a migraine but nothing helped. In the afternoon I requested that they transfer me to the public medical facility in our village. On arrival, I was immediately transferred to the district hospital and a variety of medical tests were done.
Due to the fact that I had been to Mozambique, they thought that it was malaria but the tests came back negative. By now, my left eye was beginning to see double vision and I could not walk without support. The doctors booked me into the ward for observation as all tests done were negative. I was injected with a powerful pain killer but it worked only for 3 hours. By 2130 hours, I was awake and the headache persisted. The doctors could not do anything to help me. The next day my left eye had shut down but still the doctors could not say what was wrong with me. We made a decision as a family to transfer me to a private hospital in the capital city in the afternoon since the doctors could not tell us the cause of the headache. A quick head scan was done but the doctor on duty could not see anything. He advised us to return the next day to see the resident neurologist. The next day, a detailed head scan was done and it showed a tumor of the pituitary gland which was over 3cm large. The headache had probably been due to bleeding of the tumor. The doctor advised that I needed surgery as soon as possible and he referred me to his colleagues in Zimbabwe since the cost of surgery was not affordable at this private hospital( I had no medical aid). I went to Zimbabwe and tried everything to have the surgery done, but nothing worked as we faced barriers every time. My brother’s pastor and various members of his church came to pray for me. During this period, I gave my life to Christ and became saved. My health started improving and I stopped taking pain killers. I went back to Botswana, joined a local church where they prayed for me, and Jesus Christ healed me. My eye started opening up and the sight started returning to my eye.
On New Year’s day, I went for an all night prayer and the guest pastor who had come to our church for the first time called me to the front and told me that God had chosen me and I was going to be a pastor. She asked the church pastor and leadership to lay hands on me and they did. After 2 weeks I was on the plane to Zambia to start work. Many people could not believe what God had done in about 50 days. I’m now well and at work in Zambia with no more pain or sickness. I joined a local church in Zambia who continue to support and guide me in my walk with God. The pastor I met in Zambia is my mentor and I shared my story with him. The local church in Botswana is helping through encouragement. In Zambia the local church is helping through cell group meetings where everyone is given a chance to lead on a topic of their choice. In the main service, I am given a chance to present exaltation in giving once in a while. I have also joined the intercession team which supports my prayer life. With CLI’s free Christian ministry training, it will help me develop a strong foundation as a pastor and will enable me to bring God’s Word to people back home.
My goal is to bring the Word of God to many others in my local area through my testimony of what God did for me after 43 years in the wilderness and darkness. I want to tell others how their walk with Jesus Christ can bring change into their lives from a personal experience.
