Hello, my name is Brian Whitley. I am proud and honored to be a follower and brother of Christ! I am 36 years old and I live in a small town in North Carolina called Stanfield. If you are ever in need of cows, this is the place to come. I have a 2 year old daughter named Lainy and she is my world. It is one of my goals through all of this is for her to be very proud of the change her daddy made in his life through Christ. For my occupation, I have been in construction about my whole life. My job from here on out is serving The Lord.
For thirty years I had lived a life of partying, lies, hustles, drugs, alcohol, poverty, riches, burning bridges, and relationship after relationship destroyed. I was the architect of my own destruction. I thought I was dealt a bad hand and I just was living the fast life on the weak hand I was dealt. Little did I know that I was a general for the army of satan. On May 4, 2008, I decided to give my life to Christ. Everything went great for a few months but then the enemy really hit me from every direction. Basically I was back to square one, but things got a lot worse. Fast forward to 2014, I met someone who introduced me to the truth and importance of The Holy Spirit. I began to pray more, communicate with God more, and I read my Bible every single day. I recommitted my life to Christ in March of 2014. Again, the enemy came at me harder than ever. This time however, I had the right tools to identify it and rebuke it in the name of Christ. Yeah, I fight it day in and day out, but not without God.
The first time my mentor told me I had a pastoral gift I just laughed and shook my head. As I began to study the Word of God more and understand what He was telling me, I had to share it with the world. The enemy is a perfectionist at twisting the Word of God to confuse people. They are quick to get confused and aggravated to the point where they stop reading their Bibles all together. I want to deliver the message for Lord Christ in a way that it sparks interest in others and keeps them hungry, wanting more. This is why it was so important for me to finally let the Spirit of God control my life. I see me being an Evangelist more than anything, if it is God’s will, because I want to go any and everywhere to share the gospel. I am so lucky and thankful for the grace of God.
I have to admit, I am very excited to walk through this new door that God has opened at Christian Leaders Institute. We are all so blessed to have such a wonderful opportunity that CLI offers and gives. I am very thankful to all parties involved! I am eager to learn how to be a leader and more effectively share the gospel. The anticipation of learning keys of scripture that sometimes I would miss a hundred times before and opening up a whole new understanding of the word is overwhelming. My goal is to start my own ministry and do HUGE things for The Kingdom. I know none of this is possible without the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Getting a scholarship at CLI would do so many great things in my life. First and foremost, it will strengthen my knowledge of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. It will keep me busy with learning about the history of our creation and the purposes God has for us. It will also give the enemy less time to try to persuade me with his lies. I will have more weapons to use against satan. I want to use this opportunity to further drive me to the goals of one day sharing the purpose of Jesus birth, life, death, resurrection, ascension, and seat on the throne on a global scale. I hope He will use me to get people excited and hungry for the Good News again. I ask that if you read this, please pray for me to always remember that all of this is for the glory and knowledge of Christ and that I always do everything in accordance to the Lord’s plan. All glory to God! Thank you Jesus Christ!
My name is Timothy Conroy and I live in the United States of America. I am married and have two children. The USA is an exciting place to begin your ministry as the religious freedom prevents much of the barriers some Christians experience. I came to know Jesus as my Savior at the age of 6 while attending Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Warsaw, Missouri.
My ministry dream is to be used by Jesus to bring others to know His grace and love through full time ministry. I relate more to the idea of becoming a full time pastor rather than missionary or church planter. I have always felt a call from God, but have limited my calling by only allowing my concept of my abilities to dictate what God wants me to do.
I have had several life experiences that have prompted me to pursue my ministry calling, but the primary experience was when I came in contact with a cousin I hadn’t seen in years. He had become the pastor of a small church and encouraged me to pursue my ministry goals by mentioning what God had told him about my future.
My family serves an important role in my ministry goals as they are very supportive and bring many valuable resources to the ministry.
Christian Leaders Institute’s scholarship program is extremely important to me and my family as we cannot afford traditional seminary. As I am the sole provider for a family of four I have other needs to provide for and cannot get any other scholarships for a traditional seminary program. Without the scholarship from Christian Leaders Institute I would not be able to get the additional training for my ministry goals.
I would ask Christian Leaders Institute to pray for my walk with God to continue to grow and that I be granted the grace and wisdom to fulfill the calling Jesus has placed on my life.
Free Bible School Courses Online
My name is Scott Hutton, and I presently live in Sitka, Alaska, USA. I have had an awesome experience at Christian Leaders Institute getting these free Bible School courses online in my home. I have enjoyed the flexibility of the classes, the ability to be able to work ahead and to fit classes in whenever I have time (because the videos and readings are always available). I have met multiple brothers and sisters on chat and with the message board, their lives and profiles always inspire me. I enjoy logging onto my page and seeing how many of my fellow students are hungry for the word of God and desire to draw nearer to Him on a consistent basis. I have inspired my father-in-law to start taking these free Bible school courses online for his benefit. We have grown closer together from sharing with one another what we are learning, sometimes on a daily basis. I feel constantly encouraged to seek more knowledge by reaching for the different certificates and diplomas.
Since I have accepted my call to minister (serve), I have been burdened to show myself approved, to train myself in godliness, and CLI is giving me that opportunity. For that, I am eternally grateful. I believe that my ordination will speak to others as to the time I have put into seeking truth in the scriptures. But most importantly, I feel that it will be a constant reminder to me, that I am to be actively seeking and modeling the word of God for myself, my family and my neighbors.
I guess the ministry that I would most identify with would be a small group leader. As for right now I am seeking God’s face for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and His direct calling on my life. I know that I am called to do more than just sit in a pew, so I desire to prepare for whatever God has for me. I want to be a good servant, to spread the good news, and to be effective in my work for Christ.
Before I left Cleveland, I served as a parking lot attendant, a teacher for pre-teens, and I spoke to various groups about the gospel. Since I have been in Sitka I have been asked to speak to teenagers in and outside of my church, I have stepped into a role with the Civil Air Patrol as a character development instructor, and I have begun the process to be a lay leader (chaplains assistant) in my Coast Guard unit. My pastor has also taken me on for personal mentoring, I truly believe that God has led me to this remote location just to learn from him.
Free Bible School Courses Online In Alaska
I live on an island created by volcanoes in southeast Alaska, because of the location, the mindset of the people is a very small town. This is great in that people are very friendly and welcoming but they are also very set in their ways. The downside is the lack of mobility to be exposed to the rest of the world and the opportunities to try different things. The other challenge is the difficulty of getting supplies here, and the lack of visitors.
My pastor believes I have a gifting to a pastor but that I lack the confidence in my abilities and my walk. He and my new church family have opened their church and homes and hearts to me in a way that I don’t have space to explain. These people love me, and I love them back. I have never in my life felt more encouraged to draw nearer to my God. My pastor has opened up his library and his office to me and when I am ready, he will open up his pulpit to me. I discuss all that I am doing in CLI with him, and he is teaching me even more in addition. CLI has given me a more structured and well-rounded view of the ministry.
I have a big brother in the ministry that served as my mentor in Cleveland, and he wants to plant a multilingual church in Tampa ay, Florida. I have told him that I would love to come help him with that endeavor if it is God’s will. I am also looking at starting a prison outreach at the local jail here in Sitka, but I’m not quite sure how to start. Lastly, I need prayers for strength and obedience. It seems that I will be moving into a season soon where I will be feeding people multiple times a week, and I need to stay organized and encouraged. God bless you, Amen! These Free Bible School Courses Online have changed my life!
The LORD blesses you and keep you; the LORD makes His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turns His face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26 NKJV
And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Did He say to them, “Why are you so Afraid? Have you still no faith?” And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this? That even the wind and sea obey him?” -Mark 4:39-41
