Lord, Use Me
My name is Lydia Diaz, and I am from the United States of America. Born out of wedlock, my mother almost gave me up but couldn’t do it. She decided to dedicate my life to God that day! When I was in third grade, I heard the voice of God telling me what I needed to do. Then, at the age of 22, I was baptized and began my walk to serve the Lord. Now I am studying at the Christian Leaders Institute, an online ministry training school (Learn more about online Bible classes, Click Here).
God Healed Me
Two years ago, the doctors diagnosed me with fourth-stage metastatic breast cancer. The prognosis was that there was nothing they could do but try to stop the progression of the cancer with chemo pills! However, God decided that He had more work for me to do and healed my body of this cancer!
Then in Nov of 2020, I was bitten by a black widow spider that caused a blood clot in my lung. Yet again, God saved me! Two weeks later, I developed Covid with a 105 fever, and yet again God said not yet!
My Ministry Journey
As a young woman, I wanted to go to school to earn a degree in ministry. However, I wasn’t able to afford it because I had four children to raise. So the Lord opened the door for me to teach Sunday School for 30 years and obtain my certification.
Later, the Lord led me to work in a motorcycle ministry that would reach bikers that didn’t know Him. Through this ministry, I wanted to be a chaplain to reach out and help more in my community. So, I started looking for an online ministry training school that I could afford to complete my education in the field I was interested in, chaplaincy. That is when I found the Christian Leaders Institute. They offer free online ministry training. What a blessing!

My name is Alan Jean. My wonderful wife and I live in New Jersey, USA, where we both grew up. I am a first-generation Haitian American who grew up in church. I’ve been preaching both in English and Creole since I was 16 and have led various ministries. I have an associate degree in Business Administration. My Spiritual Journey
I grew up in a Christian family that held God as the highest priority. What a blessing! Because of that, I have been in church my whole life. Although I was familiar with the routine of attending church and even getting involved with activities as a young person, I gave my life to Christ at home at 14. From there, I became even more engaged with the youth ministry at my church. Through the encouragement of our youth leader, I preached my first sermon at my church in January of 2005.
Two years later, when that same youth leader was moving, he appointed me as the youth president to lead the youth ministry. It was a challenge as many of the members of the youth ministry were older than me. However, the confidence I grew in this season still helps me today. I dove into the Word of God, at one point attending four Bible studies a week. I did this to come back to my church and lead. Through this season, I discovered my hunger for the Word and God’s anointing on me for understanding His Word. Many times in Bible studies, I presented a perspective or understanding of a passage that was fresh not only to those hearing it but even myself. I immediately recognized that this was not of me but the Holy Spirit.
Meeting My Mentor and Then My Wife
This hunger for God’s Word would be further ignited in 2009 when I met my mentor, Pastor DeWayne Wright. He, too, had a similar desire and pointed me towards resources that would fuel this fire in me. I grew exponentially through my relationship with him. He would then become my pastor, eventually licensing me as a minister.
In 2016, God providentially combined a series of events that would lead me to meet my wife at a camp retreat. We immediately connected spiritually. In 2021, we married at the same camp retreat center five years after we met. Through her in my life, my enthusiasm for my Christian walk reignited. I remember her on the phone crying after uttering the words, “God loves me.” My relationship with her has caused me to revisit truths that seemed trivial and see how profound they genuinely are. She has been the inspiration for me to dive deeper into my relationship with the Lord again.
Recently, I joined the church where my father-in-law is the pastor. There, I serve on the pastoral staff, mentoring the Ministers-in-Training and creating a curriculum for the program. I am also working on establishing With One Purpose Ministries comprised of various outlets such as blogs, podcasts, curriculums, and more.
More Formal Education in Ministry at CLI/CLI
I am excited to embark upon learning at Christian Leaders Institute, and eventually, CLI’s Leadership Excellence School. I’ve known for quite some time that I want to get a more formal education in ministry. Unfortunately, time and finances have always been obstacles for this goal, so when my friend mentioned CLI/CLI, I immediately signed up as it addressed both issues.

My name is Kaitlynn, but I go by Katie. I’m from Queensland, Australia. I am a single mum to a gorgeous little boy. Even though I am a very bright girl, I never completed my grade 12. I was homeschooled and often put back a year. As far as I am aware, I am the only Christian Leaders Institute student in my area (Learn more about online Biblical education classes, Click Here). I am a pretty quiet person.
My Spiritual Journey
Growing up, I was the oldest of 12. My mum was a single mum. My dad was in and out of jail a lot. Growing up, my father sexually abused and raped me. It created an identity for me that I struggled with over the years. I was also physically, emotionally, and mentally abused. I came to know the Lord through my abuse as I felt alone and didn’t know who to turn to for help. One day, I tried to end my life. But at that point, a stranger showed up and told me of God and helped me understand I wasn’t alone.
When I was 18, God placed on my heart that I needed to be the voice for many other abused women and children who needed one. So, I started my own girls’ ministry. Within a month, I had over a hundred girls following my page and telling me their stories. It was then I decided to learn more and train myself to serve God. I am so thankful I found the Christian Leaders Institute for their free online Biblical education.
My spiritual dream is to serve God by helping women. I want to help them start a new chapter, and feel free. I want to build up an army of women to serve the Lord.
Challenges and Growth
The biggest obstacle to my ministry was my marriage ending. My husband didn’t support my dream or my faith. He was abusive, and it was very toxic. There were a lot of other reasons involved with why the marriage ended, but I won’t go into details. Another obstacle was finding a way to study and fulfill my dreams while having no income and no way to afford it. I realized I couldn’t do this thing we call life on my own. It just wasn’t working. There were many rough roads I struggled to navigate.
God became very real to me after my marriage ended. When my marriage finally broke, I struggled to find my footing. I felt hurt and couldn’t breathe. Child services were threatening to remove my only child. I struggled because I thought I did everything God wanted yet still failed in my role as a wife and mother. Also, two of my children were in heaven. Finally, God got my attention and made me see He is real and was there all along.
CLI is a Blessing!
When I was a teenager, I went to a youth conference. It was there I saw the hand of God at work, and I wanted what the other youth had. I wanted joy and peace and to believe someone loved and cared for me. I hope to use my ministry training at CLI to help other women and girls.
The free online Biblical education and ministry training helped. I couldn’t afford to pay for schooling. I can barely afford food for the week. God provided for me when I came across CLI! Honestly, I’ve told every one of my friends about it. I am so blessed to be able to train to be who God has called me to be!
