My name is Nicole Grimes. I live in North Texas in the USA with my husband and two wonderful kids, ages 12 and 7. I am excited to be training for youth ministry at the Christian Leaders Institute (Learn more about free online Bible courses, Click Here).
Growing up in a very loving Christian home, I went to church every Sunday and participated in all the youth activities. The church was always a very involved part of my childhood. As I got older, my two best friends in high school were Christian. We attended concerts and youth group events together. Life seemed to be going my way.
Facing Anger and Abuse
In my 20’s I faced many challenges. I suffer from autoimmune arthritis and experienced domestic abuse through my first marriage. After battling depression and anger, my faith began to suffer. For years, I went back and forth blaming God for my troubles and not sure what I believed anymore. In 2016, I identified as agnostic. However, my heart never forgot the amazing ways God had saved me in my past. I yearned to have the faith back that I once had as a child.
New Beginnings
My sister, myself, and my kids attended a new church after moving to a new town. It was a fresh start. I felt the Lord tugging on my heart leading me to a particular church. It was life-changing! That day on the way home, I prayed to God. I let Him know I was finally listening to what He had to say to me. Boy, did He answer! It took a lot of humility and work but God has truly changed my heart and my life.
Supernatural Upgrade
In 2020, God spoke to me about needing to learn His word. I always struggled in this area, but God promised that if I earnestly tried, He would give me understanding. The more I read, the more I learned. Finally, I was really beginning to know God in a deeper way. This process led me to a supernatural upgrade of understanding! I thank Jesus every day for keeping His promises and leading me down this path.
Spiritual Battles
In July of 2021, my daughter was really suffering. As a mom, I knew something was really wrong. Then, my worst imagining came to reality. My daughter was being abused by her biological father. Feelings of past hurts came flooding back, and I didn’t know how to help her. But with my newfound faith and understanding, God held me every step of the way. He told me that it was me now that had to help her to know Him and to be healed. Slowly, she has been recovering. I realized that teaching her came naturally to me as I shared my experiences with her.
Calling and Training for Youth Ministry at CLI
As I’ve grown in my faith and maturity in Christ, God is now calling me to help my kids grow in a relationship with Him. God called me to pursue youth ministry. I am so grateful I found Christian Leaders Institute (CLI) to take free classes in training for youth ministry. Now, I have an affordable path toward my future career! I know God is guiding me and CLI is making it possible for me to answer the call.
God has done SO much for me and my family! Therefore, I want to share my story and spread the transformative Word of God to as many of His children as I can.

I hope you are having a blessed day. First of all, I thank you for giving me this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Michelle Price-Lix. Currently, I reside in Weeki Wachee, Florida, the USA, with my two children. It is exciting to begin my ministry education journey online at Christian Leaders Institute (Learn more about free online Bible courses, Click Here).
I grew up in a Military Christian Denominational household. I was very active with the church, attending both morning and evening services on Sundays and evening services on Wednesdays. At the request of the pastor’s wife, I became the youngest member in the choir when I was 11 years old at the Church Of The Nazarene. A year later, I was baptized.
Shortly after, the military relocated my father. After attending a few services at different churches, I was quickly active once again at a First Baptist Church. As a teenager, I became very active in my youth ministry group. Often assisting my youth minister with planning activities and events.
Challenges
Unfortunately, it all ended very quickly. From November 1993 to November 1997, every year around Thanksgiving someone I loved passed away too early. First, it was my great-grandmother, then my grandmother, father, best friend, and my best friend’s dad. I lost my faith after my dad passed away when I was 19 years old.
During those years, I became a wife and a mother. After the birth of my second child, I started getting an urge to return to my faith. That’s also the year my marriage started to fall apart. When I mentioned to my husband about going to church and raising our children in a Christian household. He laughed and made fun of me for even considering such nonsense. We separated a year later. But, that urge never left me. Just as my faith quickly drifted away years ago, the feelings were the exact opposite and growing stronger.
In 2019, I was in the hospital for a brain infection. I was told my eyesight will never be the same again. Also, the other issues have a higher chance of being chronic rather than acute. Basically, my health will not return to the prior condition before the brain infection. That’s when I received my first vision. At first, it was very blurry. These visions, over the next couple of years, became clear.
New Direction
I was a certified nursing assistant, CNA, for over 20 years. I worked mostly with short-term rehabilitation patients. Due to my eyesight issues, I could no longer do my job efficiently and effectively without putting myself and my patients in danger. What I loved most about being a CNA was helping others reach their goals and personal achievements.
Two years ago, I became a minister through Universal Life Church. It didn’t take me long to realize, however, that being an ordained minister wasn’t enough. I was missing the education, the training, and the experience. I began to focus all my time researching useful information and different educational programs using the internet.
Ministry Education Journey Online at CLI
After researching many schools and different programs, my intuition kept telling me Christian Leaders Institute is where I need to start my ministry education journey online. After studying the Getting Started Classes and Christian Leaders Connections, my intuition is right. I am excited about continuing my studies further.
Currently, my goal is to become a life coach minister. In the near future, I plan on enrolling at CLI’s Leadership Excellence School. It will be in the Christian Leadership Bachelor’s Degree Program with a concentration in Christian Business. Finally, I say thank you to CLI for offering and providing these opportunities to future Christian Leaders like myself.

My name is Bill Pounders. I am nearing 65 years old, living in Lemont, Illinois, USA. I am excited about the online Biblical education for my next phase at the Christian Leaders Institute (Learn more about free online Bible courses, Click Here).
My Journey
I grew up in the Christian Reformed faith. As a child, my parents carried me into the church. As I grew, I received training in the faith. Then, as a young man, I made my profession of faith and accepted Jesus as my Savior. I have also attended Assembly of God churches and non-denominational churches over the years.
My first wife was Linda. She also grew up in the Christian Reformed faith, and we had two children, Jeremiah, and Anna. When she was pregnant with Cecilia Joy in 1989, Linda, Jeremiah, and Cecilia died suddenly in an auto accident. Anna survived. As I stood in the Emergency Room, by her and Jeremiah, I heard a still voice, “Your family is with me in heaven, go care for the living.”
Over the years, those words meaning evolved. First, they commissioned me to care for Anna. Later in Ecuador, I shared my story with prisoners in jail, and they became the living. Now, as I reach my golden years, the commission is still evolving. As I seek to find what God’s next plan is for me, I want to hear His next commission.
Biblical Education For Next Phase at CLI
My professional career has been in construction, as a carpenter, supervisor, safety director, and even college professor. I feel God’s hand working out a plan for me. In 2000, I married my wife, Mistie. We started a blended family with our children, two boys, and two girls. Our children are now adults with families. So, we are now empty nesters.
We are preparing for the next phase of our lives, and are trusting God to show us the path. So, the Biblical education for our next phase at the Christian Leaders Institute is a blessing.
