From Brokenness to Wholeness
My name is Felicia Pixler. I am studying at the Christian Leaders Institute for further study of Biblical doctrine (Learn more about Bible courses and ministry classes online, Click Here).
I am a physician, wife, and mother of four. Currently, I live in Tampa, Florida, but will be moving to Gillette, Wyoming, in October 2022. My story is one of brokenness, abuse, poor choices, failed marriages, and alcohol and drug abuse. My whole life I searched for that special “something” to fill the void in my heart. It was only later in life that I learned that the Lord was with me just waiting for me to invite Him into my heart and fill that void.
Introduction to the Christian Faith
Born to teenage parents who were only married a few years, the Lord was introduced to me at a young age by my grandmother. She was a devout Christian who dedicated her life to serving the Lord. I attended church regularly as a child. However, it was just what we did on Sundays and holidays. There was no discussion in my family about biblical teachings.
At 10, I remember one day going to Sunday school and receiving a pamphlet. In the pamphlet was the Sinner’s Prayer. When I was alone in my bedroom later, I got on my knees and asked the Lord into my heart. However, I did not understand fully what it really meant. As I got older, church attendance became less and less. It was not a focal point in my life and would not be for many years.
Coming Back to Jesus
Flash forward to Covid. By this time, my life had been full of poor choices, multiple failed marriages, abuse, alcohol addiction, and multiple psychiatric hospitalizations and rehab. I had experienced the death of multiple family members in a short period and the stress of being a frontline hospital worker during Covid. Broken with had a huge void in my life that I had tried to fill with anything and everything, but nothing satisfied my hunger for wholeness.
It was not until I surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ that my life changed. I am thankful for being introduced to Alcoholics Anonymous. The spiritual programs at AA led me back to the faith that I knew as a child. It wasn’t an instantaneous come to Jesus moment but was a progressive journey of coming closer to Jesus. Since coming into recovery, I went back to church, got baptized, and dedicated my life daily to studying God’s Word and applying those teachings to my life.
Unfortunately, I didn’t expose my children to my faith as they grew up. So, now, they reject my faith. I started studying Apologetics in the hope to be armed with the necessary information to be able to defend my faith to my children. During my studies, I came across the CLI website.
Further Study in Biblical Doctrine at CLI
I enrolled in classes at CLI to further my study of Biblical doctrine. My ministry interests include starting a healthcare ministry to provide free healthcare through a community clinic as well as working with others in early recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. However, I want to follow the Lord wherever He leads me. Taking courses through CLI will give me a solid foundation in biblical studies and the training to be a successful Christian leader not only in my own home but in my local community.

Born for Such a Time as This!
My name is Lisa Loyiso Nangu, from King William’s Town in South Africa. Knowing God has called me, I am getting tuition free Biblical training at the Christian Leaders Institute (Learn more about Bible courses and ministry classes online, Click Here).
I’m a former banker with 10 years in the banking industry. During those years, I managed to obtain a certificate in Banking, a higher diploma in Banking, and a certificate in Regulation & Ethics in South African Financial Markets. In 2017, however, I finally left the banking industry due to the passing away to glory in heaven of my 12-year-old daughter. My loss drew me closer than before to the Almighty God.
For as long as I can remember, I had a calling in my life. I grew up having prophetic dreams about people, even those I didn’t know.
My Encounter with Jesus
My encounter with Jesus changed my life. In a dream, I saw the Son of Man on His throne. Drawn to Him by His radiant eyes so full of love, I felt the warmth of His smile towards me. As I drew closer to Him, He gave me a small white envelope. Then, He summoned me to a group of badly injured people lining up in a row. They had blood all over their injured bodies.
Then, I knew what to do. I greeted each one with my hand. As soon as I greeted the next person, the one I already touched was instantly healed. I went on until all of them were healed. As I marveled at this, I looked at Jesus still sitting on His throne. I was in awe of what was happening, not sure if it was the instant healings that happened or seeing Jesus and being in His presence. Then, I woke up.
My Journey to Biblical Teaching and Training at Christian Leaders
After the passing of my daughter, I wrote down what the Spirit of the Lord was downloading in my spirit. Through prophetic words and words of encouragement on a daily basis, I shared them and encouraged people to share them as well.
During the start of the pandemic, the Lord spoke to me about including worship songs with those daily prophetic words. God clearly showed me that a lot of people were praying but from a position of fear instead of a position of victory. He wanted me to let people know that they needed to be still and know that He is God. We all needed to fix our eyes on Him and not glorify the pandemic since the battle was His. Therefore, I’ve shared these prophetic words and worship songs daily.
At the same time, I knew that the Lord wanted me to do more. Jeremiah 1:5 speaks to me a lot: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” I was thrilled when the Spirit of the Lord led me to Christian Leaders Institute. CLI is where I can get tuition free Biblical training. Thank you, CLI, for this wonderful opportunity as I answer the call in my life and do what God has sent me to do on this earth. Shalom.

Greetings and blessings in the name of the Lord! My name is Eduardo Arriaza, presently living in Melbourne, Australia, with my beautiful wife and two children. I am studying God’s Word, the Bible, at the Christian Leaders Institute because of my calling to do more for God and His Kingdom (Learn more about Bible courses and ministry classes online, Click Here). I also want to improve my Christian apologetics skills.
Previously, I was a Jehovah’s Witness for over 20 years. However, by God’s grace, He led me away from this destructive cult. He led into His true gospel of mercy and love. The Lord has lately instilled a hunger for studying God’s Word the Bible. These courses at CLI will help me in fulfilling my goal to bring more people into God’s kingdom.
My Christian Journey
Baptized in my local Baptist Church some 10 years ago, I also served there as a worship leader, deacon, and treasurer. Further, I served for some two years in the S.L.A.M. sports. A Christian prison ministry where I traveled to various prisons in Melbourne on the weekends to play soccer with the inmates and form relationships in order to share the gospel with them.
I was also blessed some three years ago with the opportunity to visit Israel for 10 days. I visited many places mentioned in the New Testament and where our Lord Jesus walked. Also, I was baptized in the Jordan river.
My present ministry is to minister to my customers at the barber shop I run. I understand the need to have better training and knowledge in order to be effective in ministry. Then, I can answer my customer’s questions properly, hence why I need to study God’s Word the Bible in the ministry courses at CLI.
I see that CLI’s online education courses are high quality. They will help me achieve my goals by helping me to do more for God’s Kingdom. May the Lord continue to bless CLI/CLI and all the students, professors, and sponsors as you prepare and teach future Christian leaders.
