God’s Purpose Flows Through Me
Hi! My name is Tanya McCuaig. Currently, I am getting the correct Bible training online at the Christian Leaders Institute (Learn more about free ministry training and correct Bible training online, Click Here).
My Story
Forty-four years old, I was born in Northern Ireland when the troubles were still ongoing. As a child, we were encouraged to go to Sunday school. I remember getting on the church minibus and getting my first Bible. I loved being there as I knew it was special and so was God.
My mum moved us to England when I was about six after a breakdown in her and my dad’s marriage. She longed for peace and a new start. However, scars of that era carried within us as a family throughout my childhood and adult life. I went on to have three beautiful, amazing children within two failed relationships before I married and had my fourth blessed child. Currently, I also have three grandchildren.
I accepted the love of Jesus and Jesus as my Savior five years ago, just after my fourth child’s birth. Initially, when I accepted Jesus as my Savior, I was working for an IT company in business development. I worked for 20-plus years in the business development and sales industry.
My Spiritual Journey Begins
Before I found Jesus, I remember telling my husband that felt like I had reached the peak of my career. I wasn’t gaining the same fulfillment from hitting my targets or in my role. Actually, I told my husband that I needed a mentor. So, I began looking for worldwide business leaders for inspiration. However, no one was inspiring me.
Little did I know what plans God had for me! My neighbor attended a church not far from where we lived. We had a few issues concerning our house. We even thought it was haunted. So, my neighbor gave us a number for a minister that would come around and pray for us.
That was the beginning of my journey. The minister came over, prayed, and left information for me to read. I read the gospel of Luke. That was when it began. I fell in love with Jesus and his B attitudes. Finally, I had found my mentor and guide: Jesus my Savior and my Love. I regularly attended church and I learned so much about and from Jesus. Many strongholds were broken down at this time within me.
Changes and Challenges
Around this time, the bosses made me redundant in my job. So, I decided, well, God decided, and I agreed, that I would use my skills and abilities to help others. I put together a business plan to support individuals back into work and set up my own call center. I was so happy. Finally, I found my passion by setting up my charity. So, I had the love of Jesus within my heart. I had all the children christened, and even the older children agreed, which was amazing. Prayer became a daily practice, and I thought things couldn’t get any better. Actually, I wondered, “Why didn’t I find Jesus sooner?”
Then, on the 2nd of February in 2019 at 3:15 am, I opened the door to a police officer. He was there to tell me my 20-year-old daughter, Nicole, had taken her own life. My precious girl! Instantly the words, “You will just have to deal with this,” came into my mind, loud and clear.
Since my daughter’s passing, my life has changed. Things I took for granted are now of more value. I have learned more about the Word of God and have experienced so many blessings. I didn’t think I would ever be able to feel joy again. However, God is a good God and has taken me on a journey of personal healing. So many wounds have been healed going back from when I was a child. It’s unbelievable that I feel more secure emotionally now after my daughter’s death than before she died. I didn’t see it. When she died, it was like a veil lifted off my eyes. I saw everything so clearly. God was there guiding me in my darkest days.
God’s Comfort
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over (Psalm 23:4-6).
God has been so faithful. I don’t know where I would be without Him in my life!
Ministry Service
Currently, I help my church on Sunday as a J Club helper working with 3-8 year olds. I am also on a committee raising funds for El- Abrigo supporting Pastor Hendrik in Cali, Columbia, to build an extension to their current church plant.
My business via my charity is now set up. I designed training modules and received certification. I am actively supporting individuals in managing their mental health to reach goals in employment. It is now time to introduce the Bible into my training modules and establish myself as a Christian-supported employment program.
My social initiative can help individuals get a sense of direction when life seems impossible. It will help individuals make decisions and achieve goals they never believed possible. I want to provide a meaningful, friendly, supported and satisfying place to work. A place where it is ok, not to be ok.
I am a Christian and this will be a Christian business. I have a passion for Christ and personal experience of God’s strength in my life. When people ask me about my personal journey, they will benefit from Jesus’ love, God’s Word, and healing from the Holy Spirit. However, I am not quite sure how to explain the Bible in my training program.
Correct Bible Training Online at CLI
I know God wants me to continue learning and growing in the Bible and to explain it to other people. So, I began to do some research for correct Bible training online. I looked into ministry training. First, it was directed toward a degree or paid courses. However, since I currently work part-time, finances weren’t available. I was so amazed when I read about the Christian Leaders Institute, and it was available for me in Northern Ireland! I can’t wait to get started, and the flexibility is great. Thankfully, I can do the courses around my work and family.
My journey of faith has been completely life-changing within the last five years. Now, I work for God. It feels great and is the right thing to do. Living my life as a Christian, I can’t wait to see what the next five years bring. With the correct Bible training and with God’s guidance, I can help individuals turn their lives around. Then, they can experience in their darkness, the precious love of our Savior Jesus Christ, the Light of the world.
God bless anyone reading this and always shine bright! 😊
