Called to serve

Called to Serve

My name is Peter Chinyani, and I am called to serve the Lord in ministry. I was born in Zimbabwe but currently, live in South Africa. Growing up in the rural areas of northern Zimbabwe, at the age of 12, I visited a crusade. I was a kid following the music. And on that particular night after the preaching, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and personal Savior. I did not do it with a proper understanding, but from that moment, I enjoyed going to church. With the help of the leaders of that denomination, I continued growing in the Lord.

Spiritual Growth and Called to Serve in Ministry

When I was 18, I got a clearer understanding of what it means to be a Christian. With that understanding, I received baptism. In that same year at the Sunday service, I was baptized with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues. From that time on, I developed a hunger and thirst for serving God. I engaged in singing in the church. I also joined evangelism programs and many other church activities. One day at the age of 21 as I was praying and fasting, the Holy Spirit spoke to me about my future. I was called to serve the Lord in full-time ministry.

Called to Serve and to Ministry Training at CLI

I thought it was going to be a simple walk in the park. However, it took some years. It took me 14 years of struggle and suffering to begin to see that calling come to fulfillment. I moved from my former church to another church, which I believe was a divine fulfillment of God’s plan in my life. Upon joining that church family, the senior Pastor of that church, Apostle Gabriel Veyi, recognized the call of God on me. Therefore, he sent me to Theological College, where I am currently studying for my Bachelors Degree.

God also led me to Christian Leaders Institute for further free online ministry training. My spiritual goal is to reach out to nations around the world with the Gospel of Christ. I am called to go out to different places and spread the message of the cross. With my CLI training, I can go wherever the Lord leads me.
